Hey guys we are planning our honeymoon in Maldives and on our way back we are also planning to stay in dubai for 4-5 days in mid november. Please suggest some good places to visit except beaches and stuff because we will already be coming from a resort in maldives.

We are going to dubai next week iA and this is how we plan to spend 5 days iA
day 1 - reach dubai 6am , drop luggage at hotel, go to deira city centre, jummah prayers, check in hoel, abra ride in evening,dinner.
day 2 - go to sharjah (qanat al qasba, wildlife centre, shopping with a friend ), meet my friend in sharjah who will drop us back after palm jumairah sight seeing+dinner
day 3 - dubai mall/bur dubai (candilicious,movie,kids area,etc) ; dhow cruise dinner
day 4 - dolphinarium (11am discounted rate show) OR go to see Sh.Zayed grand mosque Abudhabi, spend time at beach, meet hubby's friend, dinner at JBR the walk
day 5 - mall of emirates, shopping at deira naif, reach airport by 12 midnight to leave for medina iA
We have 2 kids along so we planned it accordingly but it night give you a rough idea :)

I haven’t done the Dhow cruise, please do write about the experience i might do it later this year.
Also I would suggest Balloon ride but it will take nearly a day out from your journey.

if u r alone no kids or if kids are older than 13 years, go for desert safari (it will be very hot, but surely be nice), it is so hot here, tht u have to restrict to indoors malls only :( even at night its really really hot outside, enjoy dubai summer surprizes lots of sales n promotions :)

^ Desert safari is a must if you get the chance. It's a lot of fun.

^ I really wanted to go to a desert safari but my sister just went with her kids(they are almost the age of mine) and she forbade me to think about it in this heat and with kids 
PLUS I am trying to keep the trip in budget as well because we have a full Umrah trip plus 7 days stay in Jeddah with BIL following that..
