my best friend is gonna have a baby girl any minute,
and i dont know what to get her, (i got enough stuff for the baby already)

the very best things are ... great things to eat like chocolates or steak or a big burger during the hospital stay ... new moms get INCREDIBLE hunger!! lol!
or
somthing pretty to wear, a nice scarf, a nursing camisole thing, or jujst something pretty that will fit, new moms need to feel like they can still be pretty....
some hospitals have "visiting salon services"....possibly get her an in-room manicure or pedicure, or a haircut/style.

well if you already got some stuff then why do you need more? Anyways, some good stuff could be pink baby blankets, gift sets (they come with several items in one package), pink baby towels (or any other color but blue), some cute outfits for baby girls, etc.

oh you meant stuff for the mommy. How about a bouquet of flowers, some balloons that say something like "It's a girl" Stuff like that and yes chocolates would be a good idea. Do they make chocolates that say "It's a girl?" Just kidding.

when i was in the hospital, i cudda cared less what the chocolates SAID as long as they were chocolate, they were VERY welcome in my room!!! as well as steak, potatoes, eggs, any food at all really!!! I was an eating MACHEEEEEN!!! it was lovely, eating as much as I wanted while dropping weight!!

shweetz , not to worry.... after the birth, the mom just burns the calories away esp if breastfeeding. I ate like an OINKER, really. People were amazed. Nonstop eating and things like steak, eggs, chocolate cake....round the clock. and i was back in my size 6's by the time the babies were a month old. so eat on (and on) new mommies!!

what? r u for real? i always thought women PUT ON weight like crazy due to child birth. my mom was skinny as hell after having me but never lost the weight after she had my brother…
