my sister got married at the Renaissance Hotel and got her make up done by Shazia. I believe the website is makeupbyshazia.com – she did an amazing job. As for as Hotels go, I have been to many many desi weddings in Houston and I can tell you which hotels are nice but it basically depends on your budget. Intercontinental is a nice hotel – very contemporary. The Omni in the Galleria area is nice too, and Hilton America in Downtown is gorgeous. I really am not fond of the halls in houston – theres Taj Hall on Hilcroft that is alright and offers food but the food is HORRIBLE. You are better off with a Hotel in Houston because our desi hall facilities just suck. As far as food goes, theres Royal and Shahnai, but I know that indian restaurants offer Halaal food too like Bombay Brasserie – which is where we got the food for my sister’s wedding, and we had mutton dishes as well – and it was AMAZING. You simply cannot go wrong with Bombay Brasserie.

Ayesha’s beauty salon is one of the most famous pakistani salons in Houston, and she has about 6 locations all over the city. Her people do a good job, but I feel her work is getting generic. Try this makeupbyshazia girl, she did a great job without making my sister look 10 shades ligher than she is.

anymore questions, let me know!

so how was theRenaissance Hotel? do they also offer decoration… ? and where is shazia located?
