need guidance

Hello

This is my 35th week and I wAnt to know what I can do to increase baby weight and someone guide me signs of Labour plz.
my dr said if I feel contraction after 10 - 15 mins so I should go to hospital.Actually she will be not there and didnt give her number also. I have registered in Agha khan does anyone have experience of there?

My dr would clearly tell me " bibi..bacha bahir nikaal kar mota kar lena…bachay ko mota karnay kay chakkar may khud per charbi charhaa logi tum"

If your baby is not underweight on USG, you are all good so far girl. Eat healthy and normal diet. Best of luck :k:

About signs of labour, it varies..just be vigilant about regular baby movements.

Re: need guidance

Signs of labor are regular and consistent contractions that are getting closer and closer, loss of mucus plug, water breaking

also... remember... you will be the one pushing the rascal out.. so think of your womanly regions too.. as long as the baby is healthy.. thats all that matters. birthing a chubby baby is nothing your vajayjay will thank you for

as for confusion over dr and number or.contact at.time.of birth, pls do get it sorted out. .. ask the hospital what procedure is, just so you know what to do on day of delivery.

if.not your dr, then who will be performing the delivery? etc.

best of.luck

Re: need guidance

Thanks all for reply:) actually my Dr Is kept saying ur Baby is small. I'm underweight and short too.
The dr which will be on duty that time will do .

Re: need guidance

Okay you should have SOME contact info for a doc in case you go into labor...no? She should have also gone over signs of labor with you by now.

As for baby weight...just an FYI...ultrasounds and docs can only guess a baby's weight. My baby was estimated around 6lbs some ounces at the last ultrasound which was the day before he was born...he was almost 8 pounds at birth. Sister had a baby a month ago...the slimmest baby in her kids so far BUT he's healthy, very tall and thriving Mashallah.

Eat healthy and take care of yourself...rest pray to Allah swt for a safe delivery and healthy baby.

Re: need guidance

1) Usually they say when contractions are 5 minutes apart you should go to the hospital. But if your doctor has told you that you should go when contractions are 10-15 minutes apart then you should follow her guidelines esp considering Karachi's traffic too!

2) If your water breaks you should go to the hospital immediately, whether you have contractions or not.

3) if you have a lot of bleeding, then you should go to the hospiatl as it could be a sign of something serious (Allah na karay). Some bleeding is normal when contractions begin (kind of like first day of periods)

4) Which Agha Khan are you going to? The main Agha Khan on Stadium Road or the smaller one? If the bigger one, my freinds have been there and they had the best delivery experience, both with c-section as well as normal. And these ladies had babies later on in Canada and USA too but still said their experience at Agha Khan was very good. Someone I knew had a baby at one of the smaller Agha Khan clinics and had a good experience too (normal delivery).

5) I don't don't what to advice you about the baby weigh. Sometimes, women gain a lot but the baby doesn't gain any weight and vice versa. Did you ask the doctor if there was anything to worry about at this point? If you feel ok, just try to eat healthy food like fruit, vegetables, dairy, protein, etc.

Don't worry, there is no guarantee the doctor you have seen during your pregnancy will be the one who actually will be the one to deliver you as well. Prayers for you. Please ask any questions you may have.
