Need Desi clothes

Hello everyone !

I live in the US, and clothes here are outrageously expensive (even the wear-at-home ones). So, does anyone know anybody who sells shalwar kameez that are not expensive? I only want the wear at home and casual kinds. I basically would like to have someone (or a few) people that I can go to whenever I feel like putting in an order. This wouldn’t be a one-time deal. any help ?

Is there literally nowhere in the US which sells simple clothes?! I only order my fancy wear and wedding clothes from abroad as simple stuff is easily found here in the ukwithout having to pay all that extra for shipping..

There are places, but they are expensive. For example, a ghar-type suit is typically around $80+, and party wear starts at around $200. I don't want to pay $80 for something I will get salan or baby vomit all over anyway, you know what I mean? I just don’t understand whyyyyy they are soo freakin overcharged !! a

recently, i visited India and a lady there needed some help with clothing. i bought her 5 suits at Rs 500 each [US$8]. she went to the store herself and bought the material at Rs 300/suit. she paid Rs 200 for each suit stitching.

i wish i could help you get one of those suits for you. they are perfect for home wear.

I usually buy long kurtas at eid mela or exhibitions... then I pair with tights and scarf.

It runs around 20-30$ each

I have seen ladies here in the U.S. sell home wear shalwar kameez for $40 around and the quality isn't bad either. Or you can buy long shirts ( kurtis) and pair them with black, beige or white lowers ( palazzos , shalwars, trousers ) and duppatta ( if needed at home). Otherwise , you can get the same made from Pakistan , including shipping price should round off to be the same.
