I am planning for a brunch party with family members. I will make gajar ka halwa, cholay ka salan, aalo ka salan, poriyan, parathay, haleem, bhuna qeema, shammi kabab, kheer, chicken sandwich, juice and tea etc, I need more ideas to manage all things.
i too suggest that dont make both bhuna qeema nad shami, make dum ka qeema it will be better or make seekhkabab and put them in gravy and then somke it,it will taste great.Haleem doesnt sound good for brunch,u can make nihari or payai or if u will not want so heavy then make cheese omlate, and if u will make one desi meetha and one english it will be better,as halwa and cake or egg pudding.anyway choice is urs.
I also agree that you take out haleem and do only one qeema recipe. Haleem tastes good on its own and will lose its value when served w/ other Heavy dishes. Probably substitue nihari for haleem. I like the egg idea too since that's part of breakfast.

That's too many salans, too many fried, oily breads (pooriyan and parathay) n all.. Keep it simple, choose 2 American items, and 2 desi items, 2 drinks, and 1 dessert.
My brunch would be-- omelettes..grilled potatoes...parathay...bhuna keema. Drinks would be juice, tea, and water. Sweetdish, kheer. And of course fruit is always the best option.
ok i had two brunch parties and their menus were like that 1st party
haleem
seekh kobabs
chanay
payas
naans 2nd party
halwa sooji ka
chikar cholay
keema
chicken roast

Actually my Uncle and his family are visiting us first time, so I want to cook more to entertain them. My uncle wants to eat some special dishes my mom made in Pakistan. My hubby wants that I have to cook more at home eg, cook naan at home and some my specialities to make our guest happy.
