I need help in order to get rid of consipation. It has gone too far i have tried too many medicens, they only work till i take them, as soon as i quit everything is same. I know they are harm full but thats the last step for me to take…
i have tried to drink alot and alot of water and eat fruits…no result…![]()
umm can someone tell me some “desi totka” ??
n also tell me would i gain weight if i have constipation cuz i think i have gained …
n also is there any way to make my metabolism fast, cuz i think it too slow…

The most common cause of constipation seems to be poor diet and lack of excercise.
Eat a well-balanced, high-fiber diet that includes beans, bran, whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Put some liimit on foods that have little or no fiber, such as ice cream, cheese, meat, and processed foods.
Drink plenty of liquids e.g eight 8-couce glass of water a day. Exercise regularly. Liquids that contain caffeine, like coffee and cola drinks, and have a dehydrating effect.
Dont depend on laxatives as they can be habit-forming. If your constipation still doesnt cure, see a doctor as soon as possible, you can be sufferieng from a serious disorder like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), colon and rectum problems or Chronic Idiopathic Constipation.
Well if you have tried only allopathic madicines then try homeopathic, or any alternative form of medication.
About desi nuskha, for me Fresh carrot juice do the work. It does wonders if i have constipation anytime.
Eat more fiber in your daily intake. For making your matabolisim fast i will recommend that you eat Porridge(wheat) made in chicken soup(yakhni).
Your best bet would be papaya after your meals.
desi totka - isabghul. my parents swear by it. 2 tbsp after meals every night. down it with warm milk or water.
as for me, high fiber bran flakes every morning.
pawpaw is also an excellent de-toxer.
Prunes... taste great.. and are very fast in easing constipation... try eating about 8 since your case is severe. can find them in any grocery store
what everyone has already mentioned is great and i second all of that
try to drinks lots of water all the time, this is an absolute must and is the best thing to do…LOTS AND LOTS of water all the time…
cat’s suggestion of high fiber breakfast is very good too, do that, and make sure that u take no meal without having fiber in it in the form of salad etc
stress also causes constipation so try to remain relaxed and stress free
lack of sleep and and irregular eating habits can cause constipation too
dont eat too much meat, processed foods and oily foods, eat lots of fruits and veggies
wat whole wheat bread and brown rice…dont eat white rice and white bread and processed stuff like tortillas and stuff…
like dont eat any of those ‘ready made’ foods from the shops…they r all bad for this…eat natural basic foods and fruits and veggies ofcourse r a must…
an inactive lifestyle leads to constipation as well so try to remain active during the day
a desi totka that is good also apart from the ones already mentioned is DRIED FIGS [injeer] …eat two dried figs every morning and every night…
and also eat KISHMISH [raisins]
mix honey with water and take daily and also mix honey in ur mil/tea/coffee etc instead of sugar
dont take artifical medicines, these desi totkas mentioned in the thread shud suffice
for chronic constipation, put abt 5-6 drops of castor oil in some water…thats an instant acting laxative but this is only for rare occasions…
constipation is called the mother of all diseases and must be taken care of ASAP…its not good…
and dont worry…even chronic cases of constipation can be taken care of in weeks- one two months by proper diet and regular and persistent continued care of health…
its not difficult to take care of but must be given proper attention for an extended period of time…
for making ur metabolism fast and lose weight, try to exercise and regularise ur eating habits and drink lots of water etc and lead a generally healthy lifestyle
but i strongly urge u to take care of the constipation coz its very bad for u

one tip abt that: metamucil is actually the same thing as aspaghol...they just package aspaghol and call it metamucil...so instead of buying metamucil from the grocery store [if u r in the US] get aspaghol from desi store coz metamucil is quite more expensive...

currently someone told me to drink "safi" its a very very bitter herbal medicine that helps to clear skin....and good for consitipation
guys in pakistan someone told me that there is a "chinese herbal soup" that helps to lose weight. almost 10 pounds in a week. just wana consult ...
do u guys think it would be safe to try that...(they say there isn't any side effects)

safi try kerne mein harj nai hae…some ppl say its really good to clean ur blood and therefore take care of ur general health and clear ur skin while others say its not that spectacular…ofcourse safi alone is not going to do everything, u’ll have to take care of ur health overall…waisae safi is not such a direct cure for constipation like some of the other things mentioned in this thread…

Try hot tea right after your food, it works as great laxative for many :)
