Any database developer here? if so, tell me onething, how can it be possible to get rid of cents in currency format, if you are using list box and its in footer of a report. Because, I know you can do this if you are using a text box and in a report body. I have been trying to get rid of this stupid cents stuff, but m not successful. I did use the query and query helps till inside of body of the report, other than that it simply shows the cents with the currency. I am on the verge to either destroy my own creation (database) or kill myself, cuz this is the last thing which has to be done.
e.g. instead of 65000.00, i want it to show 65000.
This can be done several ways depending on the project. You should have mentioned the database server and your method of report generation. Do you want to completely change the column type or just want to hide decimalisation on reports?
Please make your problem more clear.
I just want to hide the decimals, thats all. I don’t want to change anything. I don’t see any option to set decimals limitation in properties of this list box. However, I have done it on table and also in query and it works. It just doesn’t work on report. (do i make any sense here, if I don’t, I think my fever has taken over my half brain).
Open the table in design view and select the number field which you would like to make changes to. Then, at the bottom you'll find a group box which says 'Field Properties'. In there, change the format to 'General Number'. This should give you the desired result.
Here's a screeny to help:

Ihtesham, yes I am using MSaccess, no that wont help me, cuz I have done that already.
I am a member of several forums, but they all seem to be confuse, thats why I thought why not turn to gupshup, since we do have a lot of pros here too. thanx again nos :)
Changing Data Type just to display results differently in few areas is not wise. If the purpose of the column is to hold currency values then it must have the relevant data type (mostly beneficial in the long run).
I can think of an easy solution should work for you. Use the Round() Function in the query to display the values in desired format. Here is what you need.
been there done that, it takes away currency sign as well. almost same function as GN. So wont help me, I have tried many ways around it, but nothing seem to be working. Cuz I am gonna lose the currency sign, I told my boss already, but I was thinking if I can come up with something. Oh, well, thank you all for your help. Much appreciate it.

as for this problem, I think its solved (hopefully) warna I would help you..
Here is the picture of my report, yes I crop the imp parts out Can’t let anyone know what company this report belongs to Anyways, look at the bottom(footer) thats where all the calculation is, I didn’t want the the decimal to show up there; however, I talked over with my boss and he is okay with not having currancy sign in there, and thats why I made it general number. It’s not only about properties, cuz field’s row source is depending on a query and in order to change the properties of its query, main table properties had to be in order as well.
Gizzy bro, thanx a lot. Yeah I understand, but you are not married yet bro Right now I am living three lives. Its not as easy as it may seem
