Need a pre-press design application

I used to design brochures using QuarkXPress and AdobeInDesign. Don’t have those apps anymore on my desktop as I lost everything during an upgrade. I don’t want to purchase any software at this point as I don’t do much design work anymore so I will not be able to justify the costs. However, I do have a small project and need something, maybe an online based application? I need to put together a document that may go to a printshop later.

Niks, can you not download trial versions of Adobe Photoshop or a similar software that you can use for free for 30 days? :hmmm:

Niks, have you tried Scribus? I’m not experienced in this area at all but have heard some people talk about it for desktop publishing… newsletter design etc.

GIMP is a good Photoshop alternative and also there is a fully functional 30-day trial version of Photoshop Elements available here.
