^^GB -- I started The Night Circus.

It's pretty good so far. Not in a romantic take your breath away but so far the story telling is fantastic.
Gives you Norell & Strange kind of feel.

I think you'll enjoy it. The ending is drawn out though. I skimmed through the last 50 pgs.

So Marco meets ISOBEL holding his notebook, she had dark curls and she obviously tells him the wrong name.

Then there is Cecila or whatever - who fits the description of Isobel.

Maybe I'm reading to much into this, but I thought Isobel was actually C - playing a trick on Marcos to learn what his tricks are. To have the upper hand in the games?

So, Celia is the competitor; I believe she is the one destined to compete against Marco. There is no morphing from one character to another (unless I didn't catch on, will be interested to know which characters you think are 2-in-1).

Isobel..I can't seem to remember who this is? Is she introduced as a young girl or adult?

I found an online version! I'll begin to read soon.

Have you gotten to the part of the little kid who meets the girl at the circus? Their story is my fav!!

You know I'm reading this book all wrong. I'm picking up the wrong queues.

Every member of the circus is "magical"

I was also reading too into it. The author doesn't play any mind tricks. There is no puzzle to work out, just let the words take your imagination away. =)

I recommend the Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley to any person who enjoys a good mystery, plenty of humour and historical fiction. Some quotes from the first novel in the series, 'The sweetness at the bottom of the pie:

What about Françoise Sagan? These are nice love novels with beautiful characters and unpredictable storyline.
