Hi all, I got a custom made outfit and it is beautiful except the gala (neckline) is a bit too low. There is beadwork all along the neckline going up to the shoulder area. Is this fixable? Please tell me it is. Otherwise, it will be such a bummer. I am supposed to wear this outfit at my daughter’s aqiqa in 1 month and it is GORG…but I don’t want to be beysharam! Help!
Re: neckline too low - how to fix - help!
I would also like to know if anyone has a solution for this.
In my experience, there is nothing that can be done except for you to wear it with a lot of safety pins to hold it up high enough. :(

Open the shoulder seam and tuck in the beadwork a bit and re-sew? That will pull the neckline up.

put a jamawar or silk cloth in the nickline and sew

But this will also reduce the armhole and if the fabric is a delicate one, it is bound to tear. No?
I had a similar situation once and I got a piece of fabric embellished with a little embroidery and got it fixed along the border of the neckline. Or probably even a lace could be used...

^ Oh, true!
Your solution sounds better!
Re: neckline too low - how to fix - help!
Use a safety pin to pin it from the back and put your hair down so no one can see the pin.

^ THIS! tried and tested :) just fold about 1-2inch of fabric on top of each other and hold it in place with safety pics.... leave your hair down and no one will be able to tell.
