can you guys make sense of what Gilani is saying besides the fact that the necklace, donated by the wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the flood-hit people of Pakistan in 2010 is still sitting with Yousaf Raza Gilani…

Isn’t he the same person who threw an official banquet in honor of angelina jolie where all the tabbar showed up by special flights. I haven’t seen her afterwards in pakistan, but i think what i tead was that she said that don’t give money to pakistan govt as the rulers are rich and themselves don’t care.
What an irony that she gave more money for floods than zardari the jaddi pushti ameer with châteaus in france.

Mrs Erdogan gave her necklace to charity. Nadra purchased it so that it could return it back to her and Gillani still has the necklace. Something somewhere is wrong.

The necklace itself doesnt seem to be very expensive, so I dnot think there is any financial motive for anyone to keep it. From what I read, it was gifted by Mrs. Erdogan for a second time, to a girl getting married. And since it was a mass wedding, and the necklace couldnt be given to everyone, money was given away instead. No reason to make a mountain out of a molehill. In a country where leaders have swallowed billions without a hiccup, crying over a 200,000 rupee necklace seems petty.

Insar abbsi confirmed our worst fears…now everything is clear…nadra instead of doing a proper auction decided to buy the necklace for 16 lakh using poor taxpayers’ money …
and then for some weird reason decided to place the necklace in the PM house from where PM Gilani stole the necklace when he left the PM house and told no one about it for years until when ch nisar asked FIA to investigate where did the necklace go.
This has been reported in turksih media as well..what an embarrassment. itni zillat…kahan jayeein hum log
We people of pak unanimously request gilani to be prosecuted and be thrown in the jail if proven guilty. thx

There are many good charities do I g work on ground. Of course, everyone should be wary especially considering who was ruling in 2010.

I cannot understand gilani’s version. He said he purcahsed it by himself to gift it back to Mrs. erdogan as both families have personal relations in addition to govt level relations ( like sharif brothers have with saudis ) the question is even if he purchased it , why he didnt gave it back till now and kept it with him

His action of buying necklace to gift to his wife is unethical if not comes under corruption. That necklace should have been property of the government. But then present PM is not less than a sultana dakoo, he would have stolen it from government treasury as baap ki jaagir and gifted to his wife or some of his beloved like Tahira Syed of the past. Same is true for IK or others if they would have been in power.

But he didnt bought it to gift to his wife. Rather he ( probably ) bought it to gift it back to Mrs. Erdogan but the question is why he kept it with him rather than giving to her.

There is ansar burni (don’t know if he runs foundation) and shaukat khanum on a national scale. I might not give money to PTI politically but that hospital is not corrupt.
Anyway, give away to rohingya or whatnot, though I don’t know how it would matter since no one is accepting them as refugees, but isn’t it an islamic rule that you should start charity with your neighbors? In our case, it would be Pakistan.
Plus, I fear that with the state of affairs for the drifting refugees, any aid might be given and/or hijacked in the process by radical wahabbi organizations. ASWJ (ahle sunnat wal jamat) is a radical organization in Pakistan and is run by Anjum chaudhry in Englandistan. They are hardly any model of goodness or moderation in islam.

OK..looks like people are still confused.
NO…Gilani never bought the necklace. He did not spend one single rs to buy the necklace. that made his offense even more worst. Nadra arranged the money to buy the necklace instead of auctioning it and then sent the necklace to PM house from where Gilani took it to his home when he left the PM house.
not sure why we are thinking that Gilani bought the necklace.
