of course not. only an extra day. the doc here at the private hosp recommendd we stay anothr day yet my inlaws relatives all told me they trying to make money off us thats why they sayn stay! ppl here r never happy with any service.
i felt stayn 1 day more would give me some satisfaction i dnt wana just take her home just becos we hav to pay. we hav a private room which is clean and hygienic.
some hospitals do try to make money off of you... they dont have any shortage of beds..
but if it gives you peace of mind.. do another day.. no harm in that..
a lot of ppl in my family and friends have neubilizers at home .. cuz the pollution is so bad in karachi.. they do it twice weekly for their kids and emselves.. it snot even medical anymore. like u would get a facial eh. crazy.
we have one at moms for my bro and cousins and it works fine for them. Though when they get seriously ill and hav severe breathing issues then we take them to the hospital.
I have it at home and use it without any problems when needed. private hospital DO make your stay longer unnecessarily here. If she is on oral antibiotics and not IV, there is no harm in going home. hospitals are less hygenic than homes here ( but again depends how clean is your room/home)
i have noticed the one i use at home has less gas escaping from the holes in the face mask. the one at the hosp had air/ gas gushing out the sides when nebulising. is this due to no oxygen pipe at home,? or have i made the solution wrong?

We also have it at our home. My mother has asthma and a lungs disease and she sometimes needs to do it and it works fine for her.
Staying in hospital gives you mental stress atleast this happens with me and if your daughter does not need a hospital stay then don't force it.
Here in USA, you can get an oxygen tank to use at home also. But nebulizers work fine if you use them properly. So what does the doctor recommend? What is her oxygen saturation currently?
1. Try breathing exercises.
2. See if you can get an Incentive spirometer… it will help you keep track of whether her breathing is improving or getting worse.
3. Increase her fluid intake and measure her fluid intake and output to ensure there is no fluid build up in her lungs.
4. Be careful and wash your and her hands regularly while you are home. You have to prevent the infection from spreading.
5. Encourage coughing regularly (very two hours) to ensure that her airway stays clear. Note if there is any secretion present and the color, amount, and odor.
