Whether the Govt is involved or not they have a serious credibility problem. Not difficult to see why they have a credibility problem, when you have an incompetent and inept leader the rest follows.

A poll finds nearly half of Pakistanis believe the government had some involvement in former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.
Gallup-Pakistan released results of a survey Saturday, with 48 percent of Pakistanis suspecting government agencies or government allied politicians were responsible for Ms. Bhutto’s death.
Nearly half of those surveyed also supported having foreign experts investigating the assassination, and Ms. Bhutto’s 19-year-old son, Bilawal, assuming leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party.
The former prime minister was killed December 27 in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf has ruled out a U.N. inquiry into Ms. Bhutto’s assassination.
The opposition leader’s supporters have been calling for a U.N. investigation, comparing her death to the 2005 killing of former Lebanese prime minister, Rafik Hariri. Many Lebanese blame Syria for that killing.
Mr. Musharraf told a French newspaper, Le Figaro, that a U.N. probe will not be appropriate since no other country is implicated in the murder of Ms. Bhutto. He said Pakistani institutions will manage the inquiry and that British police are helping Pakistani investigators.

Nobody in the world can answer why Sherpao’s attack site was sealed (only a week ago) for two days for CSI style investigation, where as the road was power washed within two hours of the biggest assassination of this decade.

What's the latest % of Pakistanis who support Osama? An changes or still at 50-60%? Or what about jews attacking WTC? I'm actually surprised it's not 90% of Pakistanis who believe govnt was behind it. They should have also asked if they think CIA is behind it. The % would be even higher.

Demanding justice and transparency is not supporting Osama. How many times you need to be reminded, most Pakistanis don't wanna have business with Osama and Zionists. They want to live like a true soverign country, not like a 'keep', US has been treating the country.

Only after suicide bombings have come to Pakistan, has support for them dipped a little. Before that most Pakistanis used to cheer wildly for the Palestinian attacks on Israelis. No one here justified the suicide bombings on Isreal. More over we used to discuss what made them do so. And there is obviously a difference between Iran supported up-rising and the Wahabi influence on madrassa boys, which you fail to differ like on many other occasions.

kaka, if you have ever read a newspaper or magazine. Go and find out, its not Pakistanis who are responsible for this. This jihadi parasite has been imposed on Pakistanis. Ask US, Mush, Hamid Gul and MQM's father Zia, who let CIA operatives ****ing our country during Afghan war (which was not ours to begin with). Its military and establishment which torn apart the country in 71, participated in stupid war in 79 and now turning against their own nourished ignorant children, products of CIA funded madarasaas. Even US politicians have acknowledged that it was US which seeded the biggest JIHAD of 20th century for its own (very well known) agenda. Nothing can be imposed on an unwilling people. The world recognizes Pakistan as Terror Central. The 90% punjabi dominated army (for mods: this is a fact, nothing racist about facts) welcomed jihadi fasadis with open arms during afghan war era under Amir-ul-Momineen Zia-ul-Haq with US convenience. This was all part of the dim-witted "strategic depth" and "great game". The now twisted ideology of Pakistan that the masses are brainwashed in schools has also played a part in this.

first, gallup pak is a fraud. gallup u.s. has taken gallup pak to court over trademark infringement. also gallup's website does not have any mention of an office in pak.
second, large segment of population can believe all sorts of nonsense due to media propaganda. for example, about 60% of americans belived saddam was involved in 9/11 attacks and the result of that was iraq war which has cost americans around $1trn and has taken hundreds of thousands of iraqi lives. i think jahaluth of pakistanis can result in very bad outcome just as jahaluth of americans resulted in iraq war.
