Yeah, this is an ABSOLUTE CRACKER of a playoff season.
The West is loaded to the basolute brim and it will be one hell of a fight to see how and who comes out.
I still think Cavs have a small chance though the Pistons and Celtics are favourites. The only problem for Celtics are they may have issues at the PG with inexperience in Rondo and age in Cassel.
BTW, I don't think the Larkers can get to the NBA Finals with Gasol's defence. He is a great passer, great touch, great vision for a big guy and shoots well but needs help on big D. Hopefully Bynum will sort that out as he comes back.
Speaking of Bynum, he's strated running on treadmill for the first time today. However, I doubt he'll be back before playoffs.
I want to see Gasol's toughness in the playoffs. If he shrinks then the Lakers aren't going that deep.
Gasol isn't known for his defense if that's what you mean by "toughness." He is a good passer, and has great jumper that fits well in the triangle offense. He can't play Center against Duncan, Shaq one-on-one..even Dampier will have numbers against Gasol on one-on-one situation.
Francis? Steve Francis?? LOL. That guy is a waste.
But you're right, Houston really doesn't have a shot in the West. They MIGHT win he first round but I doubt that too. This year its going to be really exciting for that conference though. I have to give the edge to the Lakers right now.
His chemistry with these rockets was off the charts. Have you seen the way he gelled with tmac and yao before he got injured?
But I have always been a rockets fan, win or lose. They got heart. And I really think they will get to the second round. They have the ability to beat new orleans or gs, but definately don't have the big bodies to out muscle the others. :(
It wouldn't have mattered. The lakers and the rest of the NBA has been losing to a bunch of D leaguers running around a superstar.
Yeah, the Lakers got thrashed without McGrady even troubling the scorers for long periods. Man, it seems like an unknown has a career night whenever Houston needs it.
Boston is real! Major props to them. They shut the Rockets down the whole 2nd half. Their defense is incredible. But still what an amazing streak from the Rockets. I doubt we will ever see it again. This type of game is where Houston is going to miss Yao. I wouldn't be surprise if Rockets end up losing up coming road games. Road ahead is tough for them.

Great game last time. Lamar played a fantastic game. He had that killer look in his eyes. He was going to take it to whoever was defending him. Dirk? **** you, too slow. Howard? **** you, too small. The most encouraging thing was when Lamar ignored Kobe when Kobe was begging for the ball on the perimeter. In years past, he would have given it to Kobe without hesitation. Tonight, he said **** Kobe, I'm getting mine. Great game. Gasol looked like Magic out there with the passes. Props to Sasha and Farmar for their play on the defensive end. Neither guy is Sidney Moncrief but they are a hell of a lot more effective than Fisher is right now. He tries but he can't defend a chair at the moment.
