This is the first time that All-Star Game will be in Las Vegas. What do you think of relationship between Gambling Attitude in Las Vegas and professional sports? Can NBA bring team to Las Vegas in Gambling Mecca?
Forget bringing a team to Las Vegas. The crowd was dreadful. Pretty much lousy All-Star weekend. Some highilghts of the weekend were a race between Bavetta and Barkley, Dwight Howard's dunk. I rarely enjoy the ASG, but I enjoyed this one. Dwight, Kobe, Amare and Shaq were particularly entertaining.
The game was pretty good, KOBE did deserve the MVP, especially coming off the heels of a 6 game losing streak. He needed to be with some winners and it's awesome to think what he could do with one or two consistent players but all us Laker fans know that hasn't happened since Shaq left town. And I'm praying that we make a decent trade in the off season because it's a shame to waste Kobe each year to the first or second round of the playoffs. Too bad the Jason Kidd trade didn't work.
Kobe choked on the skills challenge, although I think Wade is a sick player, especially in 4th quarter. He should sit out the season for shoulder surgery. That means Miami has ZERO chance of winning the title.
I thought Dwight Howard got robbed on the slam dunk competition, he should have at least bee in the finals. He is one of my top five fav players in the NBA. If you see him in person .. you'd be like daaaaaym. He is a perfect human specimen of what an NBA player should be. In a couple of years he'll be right up there with the rest of them.
The three point contest was also awesome. Although I thought Dirk would win it again.
