NBA 2006/2007

Re: NBA 2006/2007

The Warriors have looked like the better team all series, in every single game pretty much, but great teams with a lot of playoff experience find ways to win important games. For a team that's been sleepwalking all series, this kind of finish to a game can be a huge spark, especially for a guy like Dirk. The Warriors better hope he doesn't come out in game 6 like he did last year in game 5 against the Suns when the series was at a turning point at 2-2. That would be horrible timing for them. They've definitely reaped the benefits of Dirk's choice to be passive all series long.

This is the type of finish that could haunt the Warriors for a long time. I'm not saying they'll win or lose the series, because quite frankly, both of these team have a questionable psyche. The Warriors are playing with fire though, that's all I'm going to say. They don't want to be that team that was up by 9 points with 3 minutes left in a game 5 elimination game, and end up losing in 7 games.

That said, I'm really looking forward to game 6. Pressure is on both teams almost equally. Golden State does not want to go back to Dallas, and Dallas is in an elimination game on the road. Both teams should bring it.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

No one expects Mavs to lose the first round of play offs. And no one really expected Warriors to be even in the play offs, let alone make it to the second round. So I am pretty sure there is much more pressure on Mavs than there is on Warriors.

Game 6 is crucial. Not sure if you all saw how much the home crowd support lifted Warriors in Games 3 and 4. Mavs have their work cut out for them. I expect the series to be wrapped up in Oakland, otherwise Dallas is going to the second round.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

What a blunder by GS last night .. They completely had the game after Baron's off balance three pointer ... All they had to do was drive to the basket. Richardson and Jackson are to blame for shooting those threes after wasting so much time on the clock. There was absolutely no movement from the rest of the team when they'd trap Biddy at half court.

Game 6 is their only chance. Its gonna extremely tough for the MAVs to win in Oakland in front of those crazy fans but they too "Believe" now after coming from behind to make it 3-2.

p.s. can't wait for the Bulls/Pistons series... Da Bulls are lookin' good.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

What do the Lakers do in off season after this 4-1 defeat? It would be a shame to let Kobe waste his years with this first, even second round teams. KG better be in their plans.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

Barkley is the dumbest "expert" on TNT. He has no idea what he is talking about.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

:shoaby: suns wins though i didn’t see the match:bummer: but still happy :shoaby:

Re: NBA 2006/2007

KG isn't leaving Minnesota. McFail has no plan to trade him without getting values in return. Wolves have no pick before 2011 draft. So, basically, KG will suck it up and avg double-double next season without sniffing a trip to playoffs. sigh..

What Lakers need to do in the off-season is to let their GM go, and re-hire Jerry West. That should be their start to return to the promise land.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

I heard that laker will hire some new player i didn’t remember his name :konfused: as far as i remember they said it will be second shaq as the boy was good in height and musculine like shaq. I saw it on tv may be they are waiting for some new members to come and fight back with full strength.
Well if you have any information please provide some i just don’t remember exactly when i saw that.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

:rotfl: @ phuppo zafeerah

oye musculine kya hota hai, yah lakers gonna get Koh Kaaf ka deyo

Re: NBA 2006/2007

I saw yesteday's PHX-LAL game only in patches, and even though Suns led pretty much through-out, I don't think they played their best basketball. They were careless and did not look sharp. Anyway, so Lakers are out in first round again. Best of luck for next year.

And tonight's the game for Warriors... We Believe!!! :D

Re: NBA 2006/2007

Personally I don't think this Cinderalla story is gonna last very long. But lets enjoy as far as they go... ;)

Re: NBA 2006/2007

The dream moves on to the next round... someone said it right... ITS BETTER THAN FICTION.... their fans are one of a kind. GS totally deserves all thats coming their way. Get ready to see some sensational stories tomorrow.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

I know people will blame Dirk for the loss, but its was coaching of Nelli that won Golden State the series. Avery was outclassed. He was beaten the same style over and over again.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

He tried to adjust to Warriors before even game 1, he tried to change the way his team played, terrible coach, with a lot of talent around him.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

Yayyyyyy!!! Who'd have predicted this? :D

When Baron was off, Jackson picked up. What an amazing game. What an amazing third quarter. Mannnn!!!

ESPN calls it probably the biggest upset in NBA history. I won't go that far, but its very sweet.

On to the next round. I am hoping Rockets prevail over Jazz. Warriors can tie circles around Yao. Its so much fun watching the way Warriors play their basketball, foot lose and nary a care in the world.

Re: NBA 2006/2007

Re: NBA 2006/2007

Toronto Craptors beating NJ would have been the next big upset in NBA :P

Anways, more power to Jason Kidd - another fine player i had the oppurtunity to watch in college. (He went to UC Berkeley)
