We did shaved her head at 7 weeks instead of 7 days because she was born with the use of vacuum. We gave to charity right away but did not hold the party until her 1st bday. We did everything the islamic way. We just did not follow the sunnah of doing it on 7th day but then that is sunnah not a requirement.
