I got this heart breaking news early in the morning when I called to my cousin in Pakistan.
If I read this right here than may be I couldn't beleive, but it's real.
May Allah keep her soul rest in peace.

Nazia Hassan dead
Top pop singer Nazia Hassan died in London on Sunday after protracted illness.
She was suffering from cancer for about one year, and there had been reports that her condition was deteriorating.
Nazia sprang into stardom with her Indian film Qurbani song Aap Jaisa Koyi Meri Zindagi Mein Aaye (Feroz Khan's film starring Zeenat Aman and Vinod Khanna). The song was followed by another hit Disco Deewane which took the young generation of the Indian sub-continent by storm.
The true fame came Nazia and her brother Zohaib Hassan's way with their electrifying songs on the album Star.
Nazia and Zohaib, who formed a perfect duo together, then travelled to Pakistan in early 80s and released their first volume Young Tarang. The volume contained famous songs like Dum dum dee dee dum dum.
The volume was followed by a few more, which took their graph further up with several hit songs.
In 1987, EMI music company released a volume Hotline featuring Nazia and Zohaib. It contained popular songs Hum aur tum, tum or hum and Aisa kya hai paisa.

…How sad…I jus can’t believe it…but have 2
INNA LILAH HAY WA INNA ALAHAY RAJAIOON
35 is not an age to die. But if u lived as rich life as Nazia did, maybe it was.
She, in some sense, made difference. With 'aap jaisa koi', it was a song which had a Pakistani voice, but not exactly one in tradition of suraiya/ shmshad/ mubarak/ noor jehan. a different voice, rhythmic voice blew up the subcontinent.
She suffered a lot physically. Did not deserve it. But that is life.
Terribly hurt to hear some one with good voice and sense of humour die young at 35. A girl of 13 who sang Aap Jaisa koyee for 30 odd year old Zeenat Aman was something great. I have no words left to mention for this cute Nazia. May god rest her soul in peace - Amen.
Inna lillah hay wa inna elahay raa je oon.
May her soul rest in peace----ameen!

" If you don’t understand my silence, you won’t understand my words!"
Yeah , she was a true star , well ahead of her time , she inrtroduced the version of the music in the South Asian subcontinent in Urdu language which was never sung before in the regular basis , and while the other epople reached her and her brother’s callibre they had already left the singing field .
When Nusrat FAteh Ali Khan died a lot of remixes by Indians and Pakistanis were released , the artist died but his art still lives , may be some remixes of Nazia HAssan releases too !!
but anyway , that was an end of life of a tryue star

It is a very sad news.

She was very beutiful and had grace. She was a very top class singer and had a wonderful voice. She saw fame, money, success, rivalry, disease, pain, betrayal and now death, all at avery young age.

She was a pride of our country.
May God Almighty rest her soul in peace.
They say that the star that burns for a short time, burns brightest. She was one of Pakistan's finest.
I hope there is some form of official tribute.

‘She had potential’
Lata Khubchandani
Nazia Hassan, who stormed the Indian music scene in the early 1980s, passed away in London on Sunday after a prolonged battle with leukaemia.
Film-maker Feroz Khan, the man responsible for giving Nazia a break with the chart-busting Aap jaisa koi mere zindagi mein aaye in Qurbani, recounts his association with the pretty singer: "My first meeting with Nazia was thanks to coincidence. I met her at a party in London, which she had attended with her parents.
"The Hassan family was keen that I hear her voice and give her a break. It so happened that I was in London to record Aap jaisa koi meri zindagi mein aaye with Biddu.
"She wasn’t a trained singer, but I liked her voice. She had a nice nasal quality to her voice – attractive and different, but slightly thin. Biddu and I thought she had potential among the singers we had shortlisted. She sang the song. The rest was history.
"I double-tracked her. That was the first time that a song was recorded for the Indian film industry on 24 four tracks. It was unheard of in those days. It was also the first time that a film had more than one composer. Kalyanji-Anandji also score the music for the film. And when the song was released, it was bang on. That little lisping together of voices was just fascinating. Nazia was just 17 years old then in 1979-1980.
"Soon after, Nazia and her brother Zohaib cut their own album, Disco Deewane, with Biddu. That was immensely popular, too.
But it was Aap jaisa koi that proved immortal. I remember Nazia kept telling me, "Ferozji yeh gaana aapka bada hit hoga. (This song will be a big hit.) I didn’t think so. I thought Laila O Laila was a better song. As it happened, she was right.
“I knew she was fighting cancer. I often thought of getting in touch with her. Unfortunately, I didn’t. God Bless her soul. May her parents bear this with fortitude.”
aap jaisa koi meri zindagi maiN aaey, to baat ban jaaey...
inna lillahi wa ina ilahi raajiooN...
