Nazar

Is there anything you can do to get rid of it? My life’s been topsy-turvy for the past 2 years I think its cuz of burri nazar :frowning:

Re: Nazar

I think you can go to an Imam and he can suggest you read some surah and give zakat to get rid of it

Re: Nazar

It was the exemplary practise of Nabi [sallallaahu alayhi wasallam] to recite the last 2 Surahs of the Qur’aan as a means of protection from the evil eye. These may be read after every Salaat. (Nasaaie Hadith5494)

Ask an Alim inshAllah.

Re: Nazar

offer prayers to Allah for protection
have Allah's names in every where you are.
and give sedka.

Re: Nazar

Please seek guidance from Allah alone! Ask for the following:

1) Raabi zidni 'Ilamaa - Lord, increase my knowledge
2) Rabbana la tuzi' quloobanaa - Lord, do not let our hearts waver
3) Ihdin as-Siraat al-Mustaqeem - Show us the correct/straightest path

There is no such thing as "buri nazar"... please look into yourself and around you. You might have missed something that you can do to help yourself. Observe the excerpt from 13:11 from the Quran:

انَّ اللهَ لا يُغَيِّر ما بِقَوْم حَتَّى يُغَيِّروا ما بِانفُسِهِم
Most surely! God will NEVER change the condition of a people UNTIL they change it THEMSELVES!

This is a mighty indicator that the means to solve your problem is in YOU, not with an Imam, and surely not in an Arabic incantation.

Re: Nazar

AOA

There is a story that:

once king saw a man in the morning and his all day was very bad, in the evening he called him up and said I am going to hang u to death, coz of u I had very bad and u have very bad nazar.
While taking him towards punishment he requested to talk to king for once, and got permitted. He said
' Oh my king:
I have a bad nazar and u had a very bad day
but
U about ur nazar, because of whom I am going to die.

King realised and let him free.

So my dear bad nazar must be there but u try to be good to others and bad nazar will have no effect.

Or still not convinced then there are three things that can change any/every thing:

1) duwa
2) sadkaa
3) achayee karnaa

follow one of these if not all

take care and Khuda hafiz

Re: Nazar

for buri naazar i know someone who had nazar and they would recite surah bukrah and somethin else i will ask for u and they got better so yeh

Re: Nazar

I used to think the same about buri nazar (evil eye) as well. I thought it was just a myth or something the uneduacated would believe in .. but upon doing a bit of research i was proved very wrong.. the existance of the evil eye (nazar) is very well a fact and has been mentioned by nabi muhammad (P.b.u.h).

Sahih Muslim Hadith 5427 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: 'The influence of an 'evil eye' is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an 'evil eye'.'

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.636 Narrated by Abu Huraira
The Prophet (saws) said, "The effect of an 'evil eye' is a fact."

Abdullah ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet (saws) used to seek protection for Al-Hasan and Al-Hussain (his grandsons) with the words:

'A'udhukuma bi kalamatillahi tamah min kulli shaitanin wa hamatin wa min kulli 'ainin lamatin'
(I seek protection for you with Allah's Perfect Words from every shaytaan, and crawling creature, and every 'evil eye'.)

Sahih Muslim Hadith 5424 Narrated by Aisha
When Allah's Messenger (saws) fell ill, Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.) used to recite this supplication:

"In the name of Allah, He may cure you from all kinds of illness and safeguard you from the evil of a jealous one when he feels jealou,s and from the evil influence of eye."

The Messenger of Allah (saws) indeed warned the believers of the effects of the 'evil eye', and guided that the absolute best remedy to ward off its evil is to be constant in the recitation of the Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Naas.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1019 Narrated by AbuSa'id al-Khudri

The Prophet (saws) used to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye till Surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas (113th and 114th Surahs of the Quran) were revealed. After they were revealed he (saws) stuck to them and discarded everything beside them.

Other than the recitation of the 113th and the 114th Surahs of the Quran, the Messenger of Allah (saws) forbade any rite or ritual to do or get done to remove or ward off the effects of the 'evil eye' or 'nazar'. He warned in one authentic narration that if anyone does any rite or ritual in the hope of warding off the effects of the evil eye, like wearing an amulet or a 'taaweedh', etc., he would have nothing to do with the Message brought by Prophet Mohamed (saws)!

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 36 Narrated by Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'You may live for a long time after I am gone, Ruwayfi', so tell people that if anyone ties his beard, or wears round his neck a string to ward off the evil eye, or cleanses himself with animal dung or bone, Muhammad (saws) has nothing to do with him."

Thus all one needs to do when one fears the influence of the 'evil eye' is seek the protection and refuge in Allah Subhanah Alone by being constant in one's recitation of the 113th and the 114 th Surahs of the Holy Quran. It is expected that the Merciful Lord would protect him from all evil.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can be assured of being led astray...

i hope that helps sabii.. ive had done a bit of research on this topic before so yeh... :)

duplicated post.. please delete

Re: Nazar

Might consider reading the thread on "Evil Eye" with my posts before teaching me Hadith and explaining chapters 113 and 114 to me... I did not just say what I did, as a blind guess.

Re: Nazar

Re: Nazar

OK, well you did quote my reply in your post and you did say "I used to think the same about buri nazar (evil eye) as well. I thought it was just a myth or something the uneduacated would believe in .. but upon doing a bit of research i was proved(!) very wrong.." :) What else am I to assume? :D

I'm cool don't worry... I just wanted to point out that when I said there is no such thing as "buri nazar", I did not say it because I woke up feeling like it that day :)

Re: Nazar
