Nazar - 7 mircha or kala thread

Hi

I think this is a hindu or something custom, but many ladies tie black thread on a child’s wrist, so when ppl look at their child the child won’t get nuzar as their look will go on the black thread.

I think a black surma dot is allowed, but not sure, of this either.

Can someone with true religious knowledge clarify if this is allowed or classified as shirk, I am not asking for opinions but facts.

And also when someone becomes ill and the mother says oh its nazar, they say burn onion skin or 7 dried red mircha and then (baar it) circle it around the persons head 7 times and burn it, does this have any significance?

Oh yeah and they say if the smell or ash from the burning is a certain colour or smell then it means they did have nuzar, lol

If these customs were from Islam, then surely there would be a hadith on it.

Thanks

I haven't read any Hadiths about this matter. But i don't think it's shirk.

definition of shirk..
Shirk is associating partners with Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'Ala). It is the most severe of sins and will not be forgiven (See the Glorious Qur'an: Surah an-Nisa' Ayah 116).

Re: Nazar - 7 mircha or kala thread

I do put a dot with a kajal on my baby to protect her from nazar. I don't have knowledge about Hadees but nazar is true !
