Rs 100 million are meant to facilitate IDPs in meeting their immediate needs while Rs 60 million will be spent on establishment of schools and community medical centres as well as improvement of road links as an emergency arrangement, he said. “This is very meagre amount as against the volume of the challenging demands, which we all have to meet positively; however, we are in the process to generate sufficient resources to help the suffering people and InshaAllah will again meet in a pleasant atmosphere,” he remarked.
**
The Governor, accompanied by Members of National Assembly from Khyber Agency, Haji Shahji Gul Afridi and Nasir Khan Afridi, besides ACS, FATA, Arbab Muhammad Arif and Political Agent, Mutahirzeb also had an aerial view of the vast destruction causes to houses and markets because of factional fights followed by insurgency like situation in the valley and later on also rounded the area and met with the shopkeepers and the passers by.

He also assured the tribal elders to ensure availability of a Tehsildar along with his staff at Bagh Markaz to facilitate both the Army soldiers and the IDPs in their smooth rehabilitation as well as promptly carry forward development activities. Salaries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police increased**
Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak Wednesday announced increase in the salaries of police to bring it at par with the Punjab police with immediate effect. He was addressing an impressive cash award and certificate distribution ceremony of police here at Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The Chief Minister also announced additional allowance for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) and sniffer dogs, which are in front line in the war against terror. The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak distributed cash awards and commendation certificates amongst 30 police officers and jawans who besides repulsing terrorist attacks on various police stations and police posts in the province had also worked out important cases of terrorism in the last few days.
It merits mention that the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police Nasir Khan Durrani while presenting welcome address in the function has said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had so far scarified more than 750 police officers and jawans in the ongoing war and this number was increasing day by day as every day police was scarifying its precious lives in line of duty. However he further went on to say that it was a matter of great concern that despite so many sacrifices Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was getting less salary than the Punjab police. More irony of the fact is that even no extra allowance is being given to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.
