Re: Nawaz sharif is a changed man
There is still time. It’s never too late to mend ways, and take public in to support. If the Prime Minister speaks with the public in a most open, honest, and truthful manner and admits the mismanagement of recent crises and gives a clear path to resolving current issues, and addresses the demands, the tide can turn and the democratic setup can continue. It maybe an acceptable reality to have a newer PM from within the same party, who would start working for the country and do much needed PR damage control in the next 3-4 years.
But, I don’t think attitudes are likely to change this quickly unless a change is forced which is usually not ideal and results are short-lived.
Being a party head is not a bad thing either. Sharif brothers can continue to lead the party, and set an example for other parties by letting newer ideas and newer talent to come at position of authority. It will help to do away with the “family business of politics” stigma that is attached to PPP and PML.
2 things 1) we are taking about NS. He will never change. 2) Pakistani politicians are not visionaries & their vision only extends to how to turn politics into family business and to enrich themselves and their cronies.
Btw, I saw Jawaid Hashmi on tv utterly dejected and sad man…probably only honest & principled politician in the country.
