Welcome to Pakistan of 2013, another NRO in the offing with the meeting of Nawaz Sharif with Musharraf the previous month in Saudi Arabia. I believe Musharraf has announced his return to Pakistan as a result of the go ahead.

It makes sense, in 2008 Musharraf had become unpopular and hence a liability for our foreign masters, they needed some one to help them in the war in Afghanistan and for that a deal was reached with Benazir. In 2013, Peoples Party has become unpopular and the war in Afghanistan is in the last stages. They need someone who they can trust to help in winding up the operations there.
The visits of Zardari to China, handing over Gwadar port to China, Russia, Iran-Pakistan Gas pipelines are all those things which could have further irked the international establishment. If the meeting has not taken place, Nawaz Sharif should emphatically refute it.

seem to be speculations fuled by mush and party to see the reaction from everyone. in 2008 musharraf held completely different position in power politics, today he is almost nobody. dones't make much sence.
but as ali said, bb/mush deal was also considered mere speculation in the start. this news is just a day old, lets see what it develops into...

Frankly Nawaz Sharif would never deal with Musharraf again considering how badly he was mistreated by the former dictator. Such abuse and humiliation is not easily forgotten. Musharraf is a has-been. A worthless relic of the past and I personally believe should be hanged under the charge of treason.

^ recently Nawaz sharif has shown that he can cross any limits for getting power. He used to claim that he will never induct any one from Musharraf's party and now he has collected hundreds of them. Pakistani politics you never know. At the moment he needs the nod from the real masters, when he gets that everything will start falling in place for him within the country as it seems the army does not want to work with him due to his past history.

Nawaz Sharif did similar stuff with Zardari, putting him in jail, while refusing to prosecute properly, yet they embraced and became an inch short of blood brothers for the sake of power. These folks are power hungry, and will make deals with the devil in order to get their way. Ali Syed is right. The Sharifs have made alliances with some of the worst names in the industry...so Musharraf is not too far off. NS desperately wants power, the PM seat....and he will do anything to ensure that.

I would prefer both to take a break and do some Philanthropy, and get some good-will from the public. Then try and earn the public office.
But then again I would also prefer that we didn't have any diseases and world was a peaceful place. One of these has a higher chance of happening.

Delusional comparison.
The hospital is serving more people, and in a far better way, than any govt hospital in Lahore, maybe even in Pakistan. And the plot for Imran Khan was not a first. There is a long list of sportsmen, artists, singers etc who have received such gifts for their SERVICES to the country. Imran did not forcibly occupy or steal it. Quit comparing this with the flat out crimes, where PPP awards 100,000 of its jiyalas with land, just before elections.
Imran does not need any deal with anyone, as he has a clean slate. These underhanded deals are for crooks like Benazir(NRO), Zardari(NRO), Nawaz Sharif(escape to jeddah) and Altaf Hussain(escape to london).
Musharraf has announced a return on march 24th....a move designd to dampen PTI's thunder after the lahore jalsa on the 23rd

A correction here - this is the 3rd NRO. First one was also between Mushraf and Nawaz Sharif when the cases were set aside and he along with his family and 100 suitcases was allowed to leave Pakistan. That one was a written one for 10 years term..

That hospital has served many deserving poor patients over last decade. You should weigh up your words before commenting on it. :)
