Pakistan’s Election Commission has upheld an election ban on Nawaz Sharif.

He said he did not want to take part in the elections. So why bother appealing. :slight_smile:

With the same logic, why arent loan defaulters like the Chaudhry brothers barred from taking part?

Election commission can only issue notifications which are issued to them from the president house, otherwise they will be disbanded, emergency declared and all the election commission staff thrown in jail. And all that to save Pakistan. :cb:

Now the interesting fact is why is Nawaz and his brother not jumping up and down about the disqualifications? It must be true then that they were brought back from Saudi Arabia in some covert understanding with Musahrraf, to in effect neutralise BB in Punjab.
