It’s expected that Nawaz sharif will address the nation shortly. He has met the COAS too. Is an operation on the cards?

Unless we can control Afghan border & regulate movement of people any operation would be meaningless. Btw, it seems like army is kind of pi$$ed of this time & they really want to go after these guys, but NS, as always, is indecisive.
Hope he doesn’t give any kind of heads up of operation to his friends in his speech.
I agree Pak afghan border movement should be controlled. Now is the time to ask NATO for help in border control.
But what about the civilian residents of the area?

NATO? They are winding down now. One of those rather pro- Pak commentators here mentioned that Pakistan missed a chance in 2005-6 when US was ramping up right on the afghan border to do a hammer and anvil strategy. Give the blame to mistrust issues and strategic taliban depth and all...
