Ifti doesn't come into this topic, the point is, this decision today demonstrates what the PCO is there for. Last week, both NS and SS refused to goto the court (neither did their counsels) as they didn't recognize the PCO judges and therefore a judgment against them was expected.

To me … this says all ……. As they think themselves above The Law and judiciary … they didn’t bother to turn up ……..
The best solution for them would be …. Turning up and defending their case …. Not like some cowards sitting at their cribs ….
Now how they expect other people to fight for free and fair judiciary ?
Nawaz ….. same leader , who left the country because he couldn’t spend a day in Attak jail …
If some one is on right path , he stands and defend …. Like Mulana Mohammad Ali juhar did in brirtish Raj …….

good one, now see how much they care about the judiciary. PCO or not PCO if convicted all should be thrown out of election race including the Mr 10(0)% turned Saint and all the loan defaulters and looters including the chuadaries and all .

With that logic, nothing that happened after 1999 shouldnt be recognized, not even the 2002 or 2008 elections, since it was all based on unconstitutional measures. The point is, PCO or no PCO, iftikhar's dismissal was a further insult to the judiciary independence, end of story, no ifs or buts.
Im not offering any ifs or buts, nor am I the one not recognizing judicial decisions since 1999. To refresh your memory youre the one saying no decisions taken by PCO judges should be valid.
I am for restoring Ifti and wouldnt use his PCO decision as the sole reason for disputing every decision he makes. Likewise these judges were oppurtunistic self interested people with respect to the PCO but did the right thing as far as Nawaz Sharif is concerned.

I think Chaudhries should be banned along with nawaz sharif. If you advocate their disqualification/conviction Im with ya 100%. It isnt either-or. It can and should be both.

I agree with that, though the answer is obvious, this (the boycott) was obviously done by NS and the PML[N] because this whole disqualification adds to their support and movement. However, the point I am making is about the judiciary, they are a joke, where certain NRO beneficences are now governing the country.

Yar, zamana guzar gya... They governed the country for 5 years, starting 2002, one of them even became the esteemed prime minister, sadly not only can we take those 5 years (where they governed) back from them, we are continuing to see them in the parliament for 5 more.
This just makes it very clear, we should have a free and independent judiciary, absolutely no strings attached. Even if people like Iftikhar need to retire to pave way for this, I am all for it.

I say disqualify all current politicians, bring in sincere new faces. Outright deny any party the official recognition that runs a party slogan based on ethnicity alone. National-Mindset parties welcome.

A little side note, and out of no hatred (for those misguided readers who love to jump anyone talkin on this issue) No Foreign citizen should be allowed to run a party or be an active member of a political party (in a position to earn from pakistani public) in Pakistan. Period. Only in Pakistan can you be a british citizen, and be head of one of the political parties. that's just too sad and very un-Pakistani.

Well, I am British and I am Pakistani. I have every right as Pakistani to do whatever I like in Pakistan just like any Pakistani. Further, if any Pakistani starts commenting on my rights then I have all rights to give him what he deserves.
