Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

Absolutely wrong. Pakistan needs very strong democracy to control army, not vice versa. Jisko dekho Pakistan per jutian utha raha hay without restraint. USA, Britain, Afghanistan and India, when they talk about Pakistan, they have whip in their hands to strike on butts of pakis without any rancor. The way US interfere in affairs of Pakistan, it looks like as Pakis are their slaves. Thanks to dictators particularly Mush. If you want US and others to back off from behind of pakis and get rid of Taliban, Pakistan needs very STRONG DEMOCRACY. Whether it is PPP, PML(n) or JI. I don’t care. There is no other solution.

Rest of your post is 100% correct as Kyani is still calling the shots. It is unforutnate for the country to have military head superior than the democracy as usual since 1947.

Re: Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

I wish the state would file a case against Musharaf and all those Zameer Farosh traitors who were around him at that time urging him on.............I wish the PML N would file a case against Shumaila Tariq and Haji Pervez.......I wish PPP would file a case against its MNA from Gojra.........I think I wish in vain

Here you go. What I predicted earlier has come true. Trial of Mush will open pendora’s box. He is not alone in this mess. Top brass of army is also responsible for removal and arrest of judges and abrogating the constitution.

DAWN.COM | Pakistan | PM rules out Musharraf?s treason trial

**PM rules out Musharraf’s treason trial **

**ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday ruled out his government would seek a trial of former military president Pervez Musharraf for high treason, declining — at the risk of a political fallout — a PML-N demand in the National Assembly for the second time this month that the house pass a resolution to call for such a course. **

Mr Gilani seemed moving even a step away from his earlier stand that he would act against ex-army chief General Musharraf for violating the Constitution if the 342-seat lower house made a demand in a unanimous resolution, by questioning the feasibility of the idea in a tumultuous sitting marked by angry shouts between lawmakers of the opposition PML-N and government-allied MQM.

‘We should do what is doable,’ he said while responding to a hard-hitting speech from opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who said he had the draft of a resolution ready and would move it in the house if the prime minister agreed, to demand that the government invoke Article 6 of the Constitution to try the former president for his controversial Nov 3, 2007, emergency proclamation that was nullified by a July 31 ruling by the Supreme Court.

The opposition leader had first raised the issue in the house on Aug 5, saying his party had decided to move a resolution during the current session if the government did not act on its own as a consequence of the Supreme Court judgement, to which the prime minister responded by promising an improbable course that ‘if the whole house decides (on such course) in a unanimous resolution, we will implement it’.

The plan later seemed to have fizzled out after reported statements by PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and other party spokesmen that a parliamentary resolution was not needed and that government should invoke Article 6 on its own after a 14-judge bench of the apex court declared the Nov 3 emergency and other related decrees as ‘unconstitutional, ultra-vires of the constitution and consequently being illegal and of no legal effect’.

But the opposition leader stuck to his promise by raising the issue again on Wednesday, two days before the possible prorogation of the session, saying he wanted the prime minister’s nod because his party alone could not see the resolution through and to see ‘who stands where’.

‘Whoever is friend of Musharraf is traitor,’ PML-N members chanted during Chaudhry Nisar’s speech in response to MQM protest shouts against his criticism of the Karachi-based party’s association first with Pakistan’s third military dictator late Gen Zia-ul-Haq and then with Gen Musharraf, bringing repeated calls from Speaker Fehmida Mirza for calm and tolerance between the rivals.

The prime minister said he had put the condition of a unanimous resolution for invoking Article 6 after the court ruling although he had already stated after taking office last year that he had forgiven Mr Musharraf and the ruling PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s statement after the assassination of party leader Benazir Bhutto in December 2007 that ‘democracy is the best revenge’.

‘If you bring a unanimous resolution (even now) or our allies permit me, I am at your service,’ Mr Gilani said and added that ‘unless you agree (on this), parliament will not pass a resolution.’

This apparently dismayed the PML-N benches before the chair adjourned the house until 5pm on Thursday, disallowing the opposition leader to comment on the prime minister’s speech.

The opposition leader accused the ruling PPP of forgetting its promises in the past to try Gen Musharraf , and said: ‘It should be decided today who stands where.’

MQM deputy parliamentary leader Haider Abbas Rizvi complained his party had been used by both the PPP and PML-N whenever they needed its support but ignored afterwards and even subjected to military operations as he replied to the opposition leader’s criticism for what he called ‘befooling the people of Karachi’, siding with two military dictators and joining coalitions with the parties it accused of operations against it.

The house consumed most of the time on the treason issue after the question hour and a passing, without a debate, two government bills seeking to amend the Guardians and Wards Act of 1890, and the Family Courts Act of 1964.

There should not be any selective justice in Pakistan. What some want for others, they should get the same for themselves too. I think it is time article 6 of the constitution should be invoked in full … and all guilty of high treason should get hanged. Nothing should be selective and justice should be across the board equally. So we should better read article 6 and know what it is: … as, this article does not include only Musharraf but there are many others who are included and should get hanged, that includes Nawaz, Iftikhar Ch, Shahbaz, Imran, Qazi, Hashmi, Hamid Gul, Roedad Khan, and many lowlifes groaning with Nawaz.

Note: Most politicians of JI, JUI, JUP, ML, and most politicians who are part of PMLN aided and abetted Zia coup by inviting Zia to stage coup and later joining his cabinet. They also voted to give Zia constitutional legality. Nawaz use to eat everything as halwa whatever Zia use to sh*t. Imran use to tango with Zia, and his party abetted with military coup of 1999. Most politicians of PPP abetted with 1999 military coup by inviting the coup and distributing sweets. Most Supreme Court Judges including Iftikhar abetted with Musharraf by legalising 1999 military coup and giving Musharraf power to amend the constitution (IC was aiding and abetting Musharraf rule from Oct 1999 till reference was sent against him to SJC in 2007, so instead of defending corruption charges in front of SJC, knowing that he was guilty of corruption and nepotism, he started bhangra on road and sold himself to Nawaz Choor).** Actually, if it was not for Ayub, Zia and Musharraf, we would not have seen Bhutto and Nawaz in politics or Iftikhar Ch as CJ of SC … as all three got their places because of military dictators and their coup, especially NS and IC.**

Article 6 of the constitution:
http://www.pakistani.org/Pakistan/constitution/part1.html

6. High treason.
(1) Any person who abrogates or attempts or conspires to abrogate, subverts or attempts or conspires to subvert the Constitution by use of force or show of force or by other unconstitutional means shall be guilty of high treason.

(2) Any person aiding or abetting the acts mentioned in clause (1) shall likewise be guilty of high treason.

(3) [5] [Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament)] shall by law provide for the punishment of persons found guilty of high treason.

So: **Article 6:1 **… covers all military personals who ever got involved in saving Pakistan from corrupts, thugs, liars, immoral, and petty criminals in government destroying Pakistan … that includes many generals who went against government of Pakistan in 1958, 1969, 1971, 1977 and 1999. Hence article should get invoked on all military personals alive today (including Hamid Gul) who were active in above dated coups, during coup or later by aiding and abetting the coup … as they are all guilty of same thing, high treason. They cannot say that they were following orders, as breaking the laws and crime done is still breaking the laws and crime done even if that is under order (or to save Pakistan from destruction). Time or regret should be no bar, as a guilty person should get punishment even after 100 years if that person is alive.

Article 6:2 … that should be invoked too with article 6:1, as both 6:1 and 6:2 are interlinked that defines people guilty of high treason … Article 6 includes both clauses 6.1 and 6.2 equally to define people guilty of high treason … both clauses are interlinked as wording of the constitution … ‘people covered in clause 6.2 are likewise guilty of high treason as people mentioned in clause 6.1’ … thus one cannot and should not invoke one clause (6.1) without invoking linked clause (6.2).

Clause 6.2 covers: All Judges aided and abetted military coup by indorsing military coups … that include Iftikhar Ch plus many past alive judges … as they are all guilty of high treason. All politicians who aided and abetted the coup by meeting military generals, invited military generals to do coup, distributed sweets after the coup, and later aided/abetted (helped) military generals rule the country by joining cabinet of military generals … and then made amendments in the constitution giving legality to that military general’s coup, they are all guilty of high treason, that includes Nawaz, Shahbaz, Imran, Qazi, Hashmi, Nisar, etc … well, many so-called politicians who are barking like dogs are covered, as they at one time or another joined military dictator (remember Zia), aided and abetted that military dictator to rule the country (subverting the constitution). Further, 6.2 also cover bureaucrats, and thus all bureaucrats should get punished who aided and abetted military dictators in ruling the country (like Roedad Khan, etc). All journalists who wrote nicely about any military dictator and made them hero are also guilty of high treason, as they aided and abetted that military dictator in ruling the country by creating good image while dictator was in power and later by encourage such coup (that includes all journalist who talk good about Zia-ul-Idiot and praise him).

Article 6:3 … parliament should get laws enacted to hang such persons (not person … but persons: Military personals, Judges, Politicians, bureaucrats, etc) who are guilty of high treason.

Re: Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

^ How stupid can one get. Imran abetted Zia for coup!!!! LOL

Nawaz, Shahbaz, Hashmi, Nisar were not even born on the political stage when Zia took over.

Do you even know what 'abet' or 'assist' mean? :D

Do you know that the constitution is 'suspended' when we have a military coup and hence no question of 'subversion'?

P.S. Your link to the constitution of Pakistan doesn't work. Is it subversion of our constitution?

Nawaz and his team was assisting 'dictator Zia' to loot, plunder, and mismanage Punjab. It was Nawaz who under the instruction of his 'Pindi wala daddy' staged gunda-gardi and forced Junejo out of PML leadership. So, Nawaz and his team did give all sort of aid, did abetted and assisted a dictator to rule Pakistan and thus Nawaz and his team is guilty of high treason (read Article 6.2 of constitution).

Re: Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

If your criteria for treason is 'assisting' military dictators, I'll happily endorse your list if you include Altaf bhai and Company for assisting Mushy and exclude Imran since he was only playing cricket with the lads at that time.

Re: Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

What I think the biggest crime of Musharraf and his government

They are responcible for thousands lives which could be saved.
Thousands whom could be prevented from permanent or temporary disability.
Thousands whom could be given immidiate relief to there wounds and loses.

*It was the cruleness of the regime which did not inform the nation and the world for two days about intensity and distruction in result of 8th October 2005's Earth quake

Re: Nawaz asks army to file lawsuit against Musharraf

Was the general murdered? Pakistan. (former Pakistani Army General Asif Nawaz)

Nuzhat Nawaz has accused top level Pakistani government officials of poisoning her husband and causing his fatal heart attack. The general's widow is demanding an autopsy, which the army has resisted. The outcome could have political ramifications.
THE widow of a former Pakistani army chief, General Asif Nawaz, who unexpectedly died of heart failure in January, says she has proof that he was poisoned. Nuzhat Nawaz has lodged a report with the police and appended a medical report by an American forensic expert which shows that a sample of the late general's hair, taken from his hairbrush, contained fatal levels of arsenic. She is demanding an autopsy, to "bring the assassins to book". She believes he was murdered by "certain persons who perceived General Nawaz to be...
Now N$ told that the general's death was result of a heart attack and it was natural and he faced heart attack on exercise table. He said that the consipracy of the diverting the death into a murder was prepared in presedent house, He named two -thee men including Ajlal Hyder and said that a business man was also included in this consipracy.(Jang Report)
