Nawab Hasan Siddiq Khan

Where can I find books by him ? anywhere online or in US ?

also looking for “Tufha Itna ashari” by Shah abdul aziz muhadis dehalvi

Well ...... Taufa Ithna Ashari or (Gift to the Twelvers) is quite a controversial book as in the book the writer ,Shah Abdul Aziz Dehlavi, stated that the Imam of the Ahl al-Sunnah Abu Hanifa was a Kufi Shi'a and he considered Zaid bin 'Ali bin Husayn to be on the path of truth'........

I dont think you will get it online ....... urdu Bazzar karachi , lahore or Book shops near Islamic madrasas worth trying ...

Now .... Nawab hasan siddiq khan ......... his grand dad was shia but his father, Syed Awlad Hassan became an ardent disciple of Syed Waliullah and therefore he converted from Shiia to Sunni.

Ya might get his book ' Tarjuman-i Wahhabiyyat ' at some book shops near Islamic Madrasas ....... Banoria Town karachi .... could be the place ....

But if ya r looking to read some thing on the Life and Works of Muhammad Siddiq Hasan Khan

The is a book ' The Life and Works of Muhammad Siddiq Hasan Khan, Nawab of Bhopal, 1248-1307 (1832-1890)'

Written by Saeedullah and was published at Lahore ... Ya can get it online ...

See if you can find some thing here

Re: Nawab Hasan Siddiq Khan

^ thank you

well its not far from the truth that imam abu hanifa supported imam zayd b Ali , and subsequent pro-Ali uprisings so in that sense he was yes a "kufi shia", problem is that today we associate the term "shia of Ali" exclusively with the 12er itna ashari sect , which is erroneous but in those days it was not so.There is good evidence that this sect did not even exist in those days.

Imam abu hanifa was not alone amongst the jurists of Kufa most of which are authorities of ahle sunnah as sahaba , tabaeen and hadith narraters ] many were pro-ali and anti ummayyad but they were not 12er as in the present sense of the word.I think that is what dehlavi sahib meant

Re: Nawab Hasan Siddiq Khan

did nawab mohsin ul mulk also convert from shia to sunni ?

Brother *Das Reich * Just add the following:

All Sunnis must show respect to Ahlul Bayt (r.a.a), which is demanded by their religion, this does not make them present day 12ers.

All Sunnis Imams and scholars do love Ahlul Bayt (r.a.a)

Imam Shafi said his famous couplet "If the love of Ale-Muhammad is considered Rafidism then let Jinn and humans witness that I am a Rafidi. "

Imam Shafi is only ascribing to himself Rafidism if Rafidism is indeed equivalent to loving Ahlul Bayt (r.a.a) . In this case all Sunnis are Rafidis, because all Sunnis love Ahlul Bayt (r.a.a) . Simply loving Ahlul Bayt (r.a.a) does not mean that one is a 12er.

Re: Nawab Hasan Siddiq Khan

^ Indeed and more specifically for ALi [as] many times imams stood up to defend him when he was attacked by nasibis ...e.g Imam nasai writing the book Khasais amir ul mumineen ali b abitalib

similarly early proto-shia works have a surprisingly good opinion of the shaykain i.e umar[ra] and abu bakr[ra] from the snippets which are avalible to me from tarikh yaqubi and waqat siffin it seems that both these caliphs were generally held in high regard by members of Ali'[as] camp

later esp. when the Ghali sects amongst shias entered the mainstream , the attitude against sahaba in general and esp. shaykhain became very belligerent.
