i’m up against a dead end in trying to find some details regarding this. Any help would be appreciated. One Nawab Bugti, perhaps Nawab Muhammad Akbar Khan Bugti, was a governor of Quetta during the 1960s, late 1970s. His son had married a Sameena Avvan, daughter of the then-Secretary to the Governor of Quetta.
Both were considered members of extremely ‘prominent’ families, considered a ‘viable’ rishta on both sides.
Sadly the son had had well-known problems with alcoholism and drug abuse, which continued after their marriage as well.
i am not certain how many months subsequent to their marriage, Sameena was found dead after suffering from months of physical abuse at her husband’s hands; his family claimed something along the lines of a suicide. Sameena’s family claimed that she had died of a drug overdose caused by her husband. Anyways, the truth has never been revealed courtesy, of course, of the ongoing influence and affluence of the Bugtis.
Does anyone know anything more about this story? Sameena had a younger sister, for personal reasons i’m trying to figure out what happened to her. Their father used to work as Secretary for the Governor (who was at that time the father-in-law of the groom); what happened to Sameena’s father after this incident? Sorry if this all sounds odd and out-of-the-blue, but does anyone remember anything even remotely about this incident?
