Navy’s official arrested for conspiring to kill Musharraf

Distress in armed forces over Musharraf

KARACHI: Police has arrested five persons including an official of Pakistan Navy for hatching a conspiracy to kill self-appointed President General Pervez Musharraf during his visit to Karachi in April this year.

According to the sources the accused had planned to open fire with automatic military weapons on the military dictator notorious for turning Pakistan’s military forces into mercenaries to protect US interests in the region.

The accused could not implement the plan because of three hours delay in arrival of General Musharraf to lay the foundation stone of Lyari Express Way.

Earlier, the police had arrested some officials of Pakistan Rangers who had planned to kill the military dictator commonly knows as a US agent. All the arrested people reportedly belong to Harakat-ul-Mujahideen al-Alami (The International Party of Mujahideen), a little known group.

These incidents show the extent of hatred that has swept the lower ranks of Pakistan’s military forces against the Chief of Army Staff. Majority of the masses in Pakistan, including those serving in the military forces, believe that Musharraf has sold the Armed Forces to United States to eliminate Islamic movements in the region.

Although Musharraf has issued some statements recently against the US policy of confrontation with the Muslims of the World, observers believe that it was only a cosmetic effort to wash the stigma of being an American tout.

They believe that by now Musharraf has either hired the US troops to act as his bodyguards following the precedence set by Hamid Karzai of Afganistan or very soon he is likely to hire American bodyguards as the sentiments against him were continuously on the rise.

Come one PT, it is obvious to everyone here that you can find no fault with Mush despite numerous posts providing facts like the huge increase of people living under the poverty line since Mush took over.

I agree with Ptiger... This is the same newspaper that had the big headline

"ISI carried out the WTC attacks" LOL

The only people that paid heed to this mockery were the stupid Indian news channels, and they had reported this story in their breaking news section, just like the little hijack drama...

Baluchistan times Sucks as a newspaper!!! They also once declared Mollah Omer as shaheed ;)

Duh! Who was talking about poverty here?

Didn't I tell you before why poverty has increased in Pakistan?

If poverty has increased in Pakistan, then you shouldn't be ignoring IT education started by Mush.

I know. You would!
