Great Satan at it again…
Al-Jazeera must of missed this story.
ABOARD THE USNS COMFORT, March 30 — Navy nurse Kimberlee Flannery came to the Persian Gulf expecting to help wounded Americans. Instead, she has been caring mostly for injured enemy soldiers.Flannery admits she was “very apprehensive” when her first Iraqi soldier came aboard this U.S. Navy hospital ship. But any misgivings she might have had quickly melted away. “THEN YOU SEE the pain and the agony of the people, and that whole mindset is erased,” said the 23-year-old from Chillicote, Ohio.
So far, the patient roster aboard the USNS Comfort off the coast of Bahrain, has been the product of a lopsided casualty count in the war on Iraq.
Navy officials won’t give out numbers, but doctors and nurses said the vast majority of patients are Iraqis, including soldiers.
Sr. Chief Petty Officer Bill Phillips, who works in the Comfort’s “Casualty” ward emergency room, said the crew acts professionally, no matter whether the patient is friend or foe.
“Pretty much all these people have dedicated their lives to medicine — for them, it’s the patient first,” Phillips said. “We’re lifesavers here. A lot of these (Iraqis) didn’t have the choice to fight against us, so we can’t hold that against them.”
Iraqi women and children are among the Comfort’s patients, but most of the wounded there are young men in their late teens and 20s, an emergency room doctor said on condition of anonymity. But catching a glimpse of the Iraqi wounded is difficult.
Journalists are not permitted to see them, in part because interviewing prisoners of war is a violation of the Geneva Convention, said Lt. Byron Adams, the ship’s lawyer.
On Friday, reporters were rushed out of the emergency room moments before some injured Iraqis arrived.
The majority of those wounded on the ship are said to be POW's Fret thus seeing women and children being treated would be difficult, not impossible, since there are few non-POW's aboard, as the story states.
Why on earth is it impossible to see that American's can do good?
Why is it so hard? Why is it disbelievable? I don't understand. I can't understand.
Is it because we are haram to you? Why so? Who teaches that? Why teach that? Even though we are enemy of Saddam Hussein doesn't make us enemy of everyday people.
What good is that kind of teaching? I don't understand.

I can't fathom any good in that kind of teaching.

apparently you have missed one point. they haven't been able to kill saddam hussain but have managed to kill hundreds of civilians. if their motive WAS to kill saddam hussain then wasn't it more easy to do it through secret service thus not risking the lifes of its own troops and the lives of iraqi civilians. but alas smartness is not one of the quality american's are blessed with.
and to answer your question, yes i don't believe that any good will ever come from american side, especially when it comes to muslims. just today, your Collin powell said that syria is going to be responsible for its actions in iraq and that they are supplying iraqi's with weapons. they accused russians aswell for doing the same but have kept their silence after that. not a single word on that since then. but against syrians, these people are jumping on the band-wagon every day. thus alerting the world that syria is another target we are going to his. and i'll mention one more thing, collin was addressing this at a forum of american-israelis. :-) what a nice way to say that you point out your enemies and we'll destroy them one by one. this is the greatness of the great United States of Terrorism :-)
May I break your arm and then take you to the hospital and get it fixed for you?
Don't make the US come across like a compassionate country on this escapade. It is because of the US's war on Iraq that the civilians, military is being injured, so mending their wounds will not absolve the blame.
Initiatives in Africa to combat AIDS or other social/health initiatives by the US have indeed been more compassionate. However, to expect ANY positive words from the Muslim world after creating the havoc is not only foolish but also unrealistic.
If the reader does not believe me, I am available to whack them, then ofcourse the first aid will be provided :D
You go into a country uninvited, you invade, you rampage, you kill, you maime, you launch live shock and awe entertainment for the benefit of the viewers at home and then carry the injured from this mayhem to your ship for treatment. God, Americans are sooooooooo kind. Meanwhile, the hypocrisy continues…
I guess its a matter of choice. If you want to defend Saddam Hussein. Up to you. I have no vote in the matter. Mayhap he will be good to you. Mayhap not.
Just please do not involve me with Saddam Husseini or GBJ. I think both sort of jerks. What say you?
Oh..I forgot. Disallowed to call Saddam a jerk. Best not. If you do? Advice is to run for your life.

And Saddam builds palaces at huge costs while his people suffer and gases his people ..

The gases supplied by American companies whose names were ripped from the report submitted by Iraq to UN. Whom were they protecting?. Shouldnt they be going after those companies as well and putting a lot of these CEO in jail?
The Iraqi population ** NEVER** asked to be liberated. Get that through your head. Meanwhile even more hypocrisy continues.
BTW how about treating all those Brits your accurate firing has injured on your ships as well.
