ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy on Monday rescued 12 crewmembers of a Korean merchant ship “MV HORIZON-9” that caught fire about 15 miles southwest of Karachi.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations press release, the ship’s propulsion system and electric power broke down and it became “not under command” with its crew trapped and waiting for assistance.

Upon receiving a request from the Maritime Security Agency, Pakistan Navy responded immediately and launched a rescue operation. An Allouette helicopter was sent for damage assessment and to rescue critically injured crewmen. Later, Pakistan Navy’s fast patrol craft, PNS Larkana, and two ocean-going tugboats, Rustam and Delair, were sent. staff report

Hey, I bet the Koreans are glad they were rescued by the Pakistani Navy By the Will of Allah Almighty and not the Hindustani Navy. Otherwise, as usual Hindustani Navy would have killed the crew, confiscated the ship and claimed they didn’t know anything about it!
