Navy Business Suit

I was looking for something with a pinstripe or tiny dots but couldn’t find the fitted shape that I wanted for the blazer.
I’m gonna get a plain one now. Found one that I like…just have to go and pick it up tonight.

Need help with shoes and accessories.
Suit will have slim pants that will sit just at the ankle. So shoes will be important.

Your suggestions are welcome…

don’t know what style and toe cut you prefer, imo
casual : white sneakers or any white shoes with laces would look really cool
fancy : nude or red is good combo with blue
make sure shoe cut is below ankle so it doesnt shorten your legs

yes…I prefer the nude colour over the red.
I use red very sparingly…especially in shoes because it immediately draws the eye down. I’d prefer someone to look me in the eye than at my feet.
but then I’m in two minds about a bag…definitely don’t have one for work…what I do have is a clutch for evening.
maybe I have to go purse shopping. yaaaay!!!

I seriously don’t like the idea of black shoes with navy.
Nor do I like navy shoes with navy ← don’t want to look like a flight attendant. :cb:

I tend to stay away from trendy looks when it comes to clothing, especially work outfits. When I wear my navy suit, I always pair it with a nude closed toe classic pump. If you want something that makes more of a statement, you can also go with red, yellow or magenta shoes. Again, I personally prefer classic closed-toe pumps.

For accessories, sticking with classic looks, you can't go wrong with a pearl or gold necklace. 90% of the time I wear round diamond studs to work (matches with EVERYTHING). If you want to add color, can't go wrong with earrings/necklaces, scarfs etc. in red/magenta/yellow.

the closed toe pump that I have in nude has an accent shade on the back…can’t remember if that’s navy or black accent. will check tonight. the bigger problem is that there’s an ankle strap and that’s gonna make the ankle area look busy. I want a tailored and clean look.

I think I have peep toe pumps in nude but I can’t remember if they are slingbacks…I think they are…so might have to go shoe shopping…:cb:

for accessories…can’t decide whether to go silver or gold…

Tailored and clean look = Classic closed toe pump (100% nude). :slight_smile: I don’t have any pumps that any type of straps or accent colors so I can’t relate to your dilemma. :slight_smile:

With navy, I usually pair gold.

yeah....I can't do red shoes for business.
it's too distracting unless you have at least 2 other significant red items on to coordinate....like a blouse and handbag or even a red jacket.....which then starts to look a little OTT.
I don't know....I"m much more in favour of the "understated elegance" look.....navy with pale pink, pale blue, beige, etc. etc.
absolutely LOVE navy with a crisp, white blouse.

boring, eh?

But to be honest, if I did wear red shoes with my navy suit, I would not do a red blouse, handbag or jacket. For me, that’s OTT. I would wear the navy suit with a white or beige blouse, wear red class pumps, and put a necklace with a bit of red like in the link below (I actually have this necklace lol). Nude purse. Red would be just a little pop of color to my look as opposed to being a large part of it.

Very nice.
I will consider it…but my red shoes are slingbacks with peep toe…again…not very business like…
