Naukars who live with their employers know who is doing what, who is leaving the house at night secretly, what the husband and wife are fighting about, why the mom and daughters aren’t talking to each other, where the son hides his cigarettes, and the drivers probably know the source of that perfume smell baray sahab has after a long day at work.
It must be kind of strange to have naukars at home who are there all the time. They see and know everything going on in the house.
I think those aunties who do rishtas probably have good gossip also.
YUP they do. Often times when a personal assistant/nanny/butler/publicist who works for a Hollywood celebrity is fired...................all the sordid details are revealed.
yeah that’s exactly what i had in mind, like deep dark secrets of families
and come to think of it, there have been news in pakistan where nokers have been working in some rich people’s houses and they know all the security measures and everything. so then they rob them (have more people working with them) and just take away everything from the guy’s house
but not all nokers are not evil only some are
but 1 should be very careful of what he/she does infront of a noker

I don’t think so TDW. Most people don’t consider their maid servants worth any significance to want to be mindful of their presence and restrict themselves infront of them, they’re basically looked as objects, like WalMart employees. :halo:
They share 'information' in their own social circle (more efficient than facebook) and the cumulative knowledge of the 'help' social circle is quiet scary or interesting if you like gossip.
Naukars gossip with other Naukars and they tell some gossip to other houses they work in.
The ones that live in the home are not that bad. It's the ones that go house to house (the whole mahula) for a couple of hours. She used to have the BEST GOSSIP :) really funny ones too.
However I have seen some naukars that are so loyal to the families that they take the secrets to the grave.
