177/7 off 46 overs

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

185/7 off 47 overs

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

last two overs went for 30 and australia finished with 219. A really good score on a seaming paradise. England should be disappointed with number of extras and general bowling performance.

Simon Jones has been substituted for Solani who will bat and this becomes the first tactical substitution in cricket history :-)

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

219/7 off 50 overs.

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

what is this powerplay ? ? cricinfo keeps mentioning it?

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

^ Powerplay is the term that will be used for new field restrictions. First power play are the field restrictions for first 10 overs then there are two blocks of 5 overs that must be used within remaining 40 overs.

Strauss was dropped by Gilchrist and Tresco was caught off a noball. Nasser Hussain is right. Australia is increasingly clumsy so far on this tour.

Currently England 68-0 after 16.

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

^ 68-0 in 16 is good :k:

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

^ Shane watson is such an excuse of an all rounder :hehe:

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

What are all these new rules...I mean the substitutes & the fielding rules...can someone explain them to me..

Re: NatWest Challenge 2005 - England V Australia

I think cricinfo is refering 'powerplay' to Shahid Afridi... :)

Eng 85/0 off 19.1 overs...
