Nature is what’s happening around us naturally, stopping it from happening all together is different from preventing the devastating effects after something has happened

I was reading Dan Brown's latest book, and this was raised.
Whenever the population has reached high levels disaster happens, nature's way of ''cull'' which is then followed by a period of great advancement.
Example:
Black death Europe, followed by the Renaissance

nature is 10^35 time smarter then us.
We can only fix nature by LEAVING IT ALONE.
It will fix it self just fine.
In fact the specie earth would flourish with out is human.
