so i have always struggle with my weight :{ and it has been very hard to lose weight since i had kids. I work for a hospital system and they are promoting this diet plan called Naturally slim. Well, it’s working. It teaches you when to eat and how much to eat, when to know to stop eating but you get to eat everything you want. It actually encourages you to eat the foods you love i have been following it for 4 weeks and have lost 3 pounds. I don’t work out, but try my best to so 10k steps per day.
First you determine you hunger pattern. In the morning when you wake up, drink 2 glasses of H2Orange (1:7 ratio of orange juice to water,) to determine if in the morning you really are hungry or just dehydrated. Don't have breakfast until you feel hungry (when you stomach is growling). For me, i wake up at 6am and now don't have breakfast until 9:30ish. dont' really have to eat 3 meals a day.
you drink H2orange, keep a food log.
Second rule is to eat very slowly. 10-5-10: 10 minutes of eating, 5 minutes of rest and thn eating for another 10 minutes. The reason behind this is that it takes our brain 20 minutes to register if your stomach is full or not. you chew your food slowly put you fork down after each bite, and enjoy the taste! Stop eating when you feel full. You will notice that you are not eating as much as you were before...or at least when you feel full you still have a lot of food left over. Eventually you will start getting smaller portions as you will know how much your stomach can handle.
No snacking, not even fruits.
while eating, start with your favorite item (ex: burger and fries, i will start with fries)...you eat that item until fully satisfied and thn move on to the next item. Once you have moved on, don't return to the previous item. For burgers and sandwiches, slice them in four pieces and finish one piece at a time.
No sugar (cookies, cakes, sugar, sodas etc) and milk (rule...if eating yogurt the protein has to be 3 times the sugar.) during first 3 weeks ...they reintroduce both later on.
They encourage walking and working out...but it's not required.

Just wanted to share :)
My take on diet plan is ... cut 100% rice from your diet. (Initially.. but you can get back rice once you are in control but don't take too much)
Breakfast and lunch.... eat larger portion in day light.....
Dinner should be taken around 7 or 8 Pm. Early in time and less in food portion will always be good.
Drink lot of water.
10 minute brisk walk around after noon before lunch...
Eating too less or too much is not right way to reduce weight. Eat right amount of food is called healthy diet...
Portion diet is also good...you divide your snake time.. and digest them...

This is how much i know.
I feel good. Never feel food deprived. I love it!
Thanks for sharing.
I just dont agree with eating the favorite like burger/fries etc. This can be avoided
I didn't either, but the point of it is that you don't over eat or crave something and then over eat when cheating etc. I feel satisfied and still losing weight.
This whole program has change my mind set...not eating breakfast, not snacking etc. BUT it's working and when you listen to lectures, all of it makes so much sense.

That's good! I really appreciate what you've shared. Though in my case, I only rely on a natural diet in terms of loosing my weight. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and other foods in moderation. A few exercises like jogging and walking can help me too.

BUT if you think about Naturally Slim...it is a VERY natural diet. It hasn't asked me to count calories, reduced this or that (sugar has been reintroduced but i don't crave it now, and they have asked to be mindful of hidden sugar- which we should anyways.) It is teaching to eat in moderation or just as much as your body/stomach requires.
