aka herbal pills. Sometimes you don’t want to drink chai or tea to give you a little mental/physical boost. and i know there are a lot of herbal supplements out there. have you tried them? which one do you think works the best? what’s the difference between gingko and ginseng, since i think both are marketed as energy pills.
Re: Natural Energy Solutions/Supplements
I heard Vitamic C pills help also.
Gingko and Ginseng are memory-boosters. It increases person’s concentration and sharpens the memory (which in turn sharpens reaction time, keeps you mentally active). It increases the blood flow of the oxygen. You are more calmer, in control of your life, your mind remains active and keeps occupied but yet free at the same time. You also can multitask better.
I came across an article that relates to this subject, however, is more along the lines of forbidding this product to the users from buying it.
It’s the dose that makes a poison. If a substance is to cause a health benefit, you have to eat an exact dose. If you take less, you don’t receive any benefit. If you take too much, you can suffer unpleasant side effects or even die. Drugs and supplements specify the dose on the bottle; if you take a whole bottle-full instead of one pill and die of an overdose, the manufacturer will not be held responsible. But nobody measures exact portions of food. What happens if you drink the ginseng tea all day to quench your thirst? (Ezine articles)
It seems like another conspiracy theory. Do we know that it’s a dose that makes poison too? Do we have concrete proof? Although the author is right, we don’t have proof that it works either.
Re: Natural Energy Solutions/Supplements
Khumz, It's best to check with your doctor before using any herbal supplements. They aren't that harmful if you're not on any prescriptions or if you don't have any underlying conditions, but it's always better to check.
Re: Natural Energy Solutions/Supplements
Is Ginseng found in green tea? or was it some other tea?...
Re: Natural Energy Solutions/Supplements
Ginseng is available in pill form and added in teas. But it is not naturally occuring in green tea.
i know it’s usually used for memory. but mumsy takes it sometimes for energy too, when she is exhuasted, and made me take a pill when even coffee wasn’t working. and for some reason it gave me that little boost i wanted. so i went to look for it in a pharmacy but found ginseng instead of gingko, and even on the box it said for energy plus all the other jazz. hence the confusion
as far as i know, i’m healthy alhamdulilah, and i rather energize myself with caffeiene or sleep in the first place, but sometimes nothing works. docs i think are not a fan of health supplements in the first place (unless its a desi doc) so i doubt they would even recommend me that stuff.
