the one in japan. The disaster itself but also the after effects such as radiation make it one of the worst. Japans one place ive always wanted to visit. Always been fascinated by japanese culture

The first disaster that comes to my mind is the 2005 earth quake in Pakistan. I still remember that day and even when I think of it now, it sends shivers down my spine.
October 8th, 2005, A earthquake of magnitude 7.6 struck Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, KPK and Islamabad. The official death toll was near 75,000 people with more than 100,000 injured.
The most scary part for me was the aftershocks that kept coming till even after 2 months of the earthquake.

For me it is the earthquake that happened on December 26th 2004 in, and the Tsunami that hit Sri Lanka and other countries.
I still remember waking up that morning to check the score for a cricket match that Sri Lanka was playing against New Zealand. We had lost..so I just started surfing the channels. One of the channels was showing that there was a lot of water, and ppl were running here and there...I thought it was flooding coz of the rain, as it happens quite often. Then they were showing the sea..and I was like, "Why r they showing the sea...then the water in ppl's homes...?"
Then it clicked..and I was like...OMG!! WHY IS THE SEA FLOWING INTO THE LAND????
Then I ran downstair switched on the TV there and called my uncle and aunt (I was living with them), and we were just staring at the TV in shock! We were all like "What is a Tsunami?"
I have never seen Colombo so quiet before...it was as if the city was haunted....no ppl aournd...most shops were closed...just news papers flying around aimlessly on the roads...just one or two cars...

The Earth Quake That Happened in 2005 In Pakistan :(…I was sitting in the class of my school giving exam and suddenly my chair started to shake I said to my friend Dont disturb me i wont tell u the answers and he said Shut up im not asking even …And Suddenly All Class started to shake 
Our teachers said come on student go out of the class anc we all sat down in the ground.It was so horrible na 
And then i saw all on news How my country was destroyed…Its been 6 years now still the damage is there

i think it has to be the Boxing Day Tsunami . but they have all been shocking.
In the Japanese Tsunami the ONLY factory in the world to make metallic pigments for every car paint was destroyed in the disaster, that is why so many cars were effected. HOwever, credit to the japanese bravery and efficiency.
what is sad is that pakistan has not learnt form last years flood disaster, gov. sadly are not bothered.

The countless lives lost in the sub-continent due to cyclones, floods, droughts over the years - the cycle just seems to repeat itself - some of it preventable by having better infrastructure.

The world worst natural disaster happened in Pakistan on October 8, 2005, in which 74,500 people died and 106,000 people injured and on rector scale, it magnitude is 7.7 as the depth of Earthquake was only 10 km below the earth. It also causes 3.5 billion US dollar damage to the economy of Pakistan.
