Scientifically, are there any explanations regarding the drastic increase of natural disasters in the past couple years?
There have countless number of Hurricances in the United states for the past couple years and the numbers seem to be increasing every year.
Tsunamis and Earthquakes have also been improved drastically in the 2 years. In the last 2 years, there have been numerous earthquakes with the magnitude of 6.0 and above.
:( sometimes i think we going to die...well i gues somewhere people is guilty by themself...but smtimes i think that someone hates us...but one i know sure- this earth is not endless...
I don’t think this observation is true, at least wrt to earthquakes. They happen to let out more dangerous fury (like a pressure cooker), and from a purely scientific perspective (wrong time though, to say this) is probable good for the earth because earthquakes make the earth less unstable.
Hence earthquakes have been happening all the time and will continue to do so. What is different these days is
We get to hear more about them because of advances in communication
There are lot more deaths and destruction because of modern buildings - apartments, bridges, roads, etc. Earthquakes don’t kill; deaths occur because of building collapses. This is the reason that fewer animals die than humans.
We still don’t know why the indus valley civilization died. Floods that would put the recent hurricanes to shame
I don't think that the frequency has increased. We hear more about them now because the damage that is caused these days is phenomenol. An earthquake without any damage is no news. It is like saying, we had a high tide today
not sure about the earthquakes but for other natural disastars suchas hurricanes there is a scientific explanation and that is the phenomena of global warming
Population is growing and hence more people are in more places. The same natural disaster that would have killed 100 people almost 200 years ago now kills more than a thousand. The same earthquake that came 100 years ago didnt have any 10 story buildings to topple. Tsunamis that happened many years ago and wiped out civilization were probably never recorded. Maybe all the victims died. There was no internet and news traveled with the speed of years not routers.
Yes maybe man plays some small part in the natural disaster frequency but those are almost impossible to know. The making of dams on rivers may increase the frequency of earthqakes in the reagion due to the weight of tha lake that any dam might create. Global warming geniuses are still fighting over weather it exists. Biblical/religious archaeology shows us that these events have existed since the existance of man, and probably in a much worse form, before man but I wasnt there.
Nowhere does it say that there should be 25 major earthquakes every year. All these are gathered stats and their extrapolations. Nature does not follow that math. Who is to say that natural disasters didnt occur much more frequently in the early days of man or even before that.
Earth is over 3 billion years old...and suddenly we the "humans" think we know that these natural disasters are happening more frequently now ?
'Couple of years' doesnt even count in the life of earth.
