an intact hymen merely means that the girl did not had proper sexual intercourse in the vagina (its not a guarantee of virginity) - on the other hand, a broken hymen does not automatically mean that the girl is not a virgin. if the hymen is broken by riding or biking do you then consider the girl a non-virgin? more importantly how will anyone find out?
you are scared of using pads because of bleached cotton, but u would rather use the same cotton rags bursting with germs over and over again? Isn't that kinda unhealthy?

I know i probably shouldnt but in here coz im a guy, But women used suchcotton clothes for years before moderm tampons and pads and such. If people have been using them for centuries, they arnt really harmful.
maniac dude: the people have been leading unhealthy lives for centuries so it's all good to continue doing it even when u have better and healthier alternatives?
She is scared of bleached cotton more than all those germs, I mean really the tampons/pads are a better option even with the hazard of bleached cotton when compared to cotton rags.

CB Dudette: People have lived perfectly healthy lives. Dont be so sure about modern technology, u`d be surprised how much unhealthy stuff there is in your herbal essense and your moisturizers and such. Personally, if the woman wants to use cotton cloths as other women have for centuries and then wash them properly, more power to her.
Mr.Maniac: how are u so sure about people living perfectly healthy lives all these centuries? Isn't average life expectancy
higher than it was a few decades back? Modern tech must be doing something right.
Yeah, more power to her if she chooses to overlook the risk of vaginal or urinary tract infection from using the cotton rags over and over again.
Torn if you want to use cloth- then best throw it away after using it.Personally I think its an awful business with the cloth- cant even imagine. And theres nothing wrong with tampons/pads.
Attia you mean that effed up Arab culture tradition where they check for the blood stain on the sheets in the morning? And what if the girl is a virgin except she doesn't have a hymen (because of heavy period cramps). She'll still get divorced? Bravo.
The pads are perfectly safe. Just stick to a leading brand and you'll be fine. The manufacturers have spent millions of dollars on ensuring that they are safe.
They are certainly safer and more sanitary than cotton cloths.
