The government has proposed the withdrawal of NATO forces through Gwadar. I think this could be a good decision, what do you think?

Why through Gwadar? How did they land in Afghanistan? They should just pack it and airlift themselves whatever the price. If they start going through Gwadar then you will see violence all around the routes to Gwadar.

This was exactly my point, this could counter any activities US would be playing at the moment in destabilizing the province on the one hand and spur economic activity on the other. With improvement of law and order in the province the government should reach out to the militants there to conclude this conflict.

On the contrary the violence might reduce, as it would be in their interest to have their supplies transported safely.

Chaman is a border crossing while gawadar is a port. It is comparing apples and oranges literally!
@Captain: I don't think soldiers go through the land route, except initially when americans deployed in October 2001. I remember reading that Marines had made a beachhead in pasni in one of their biggest wartime amphibious operations in recent times.

The entry into Pakistan is through Khyber pass and Chaman and they leave through Karachi port, the government wants to use the Gwadar port for this purpose now.
