LONDON (AFP) - British military police have launched an investigation into claims that two servicemen abused children in Afghanistan, the defence ministry said.

	  																					The Sun newspaper reported that a sergeant  and a private from the Mercian Battle Group have been arrested over  claims that they abused an Afghan boy and a girl, both aged about 10,  and filmed the incidents. 

‘We are aware that an allegation has been made concerning alleged inappropriate behaviour by two servicemen in Afghanistan,’ a Ministry of Defence spokesman said in a statement.

'The Royal Military Police (Special Investigations Branch) has launched an investigation into this. We take any such allegation extremely seriously.

More shock and awe from NAto occupiers last week we had US soldiers urinating in faces of afghan people now we have more child abuse of kids from these lovers of freedom and democracy the US Nato UK axis of evil!

When you allow these disbelievers into your lands expect more humiliation and disgrace for the people there.

May allah(swt) curse these disbelivers and bring them great calamity and may the resistance get the victory soon and may allah(swt) give the pakistan army the courage to kick out the disbelievers who try and humiliate the muslims.

On behalf of ISAF and CENTCOM, we would like to like to inform readers that we are aware of the investigation being carried out by the British military police, who are looking into the alleged inappropriate conduct of British servicemen in Afghanistan. As the ISAF spokesperson, Brigadier General Jacobson, has made clear, we expect that, irrespective of their nationality, all troops serving in Afghanistan should abide by and uphold the highest standards of military service. After the result of the investigation is released, and if they were found guilty, only then can appropriate action be taken by the British servicemen’s home nation.

              Having said this, we would like to stress the fact that the actions of a few individuals do not reflect the character, actions or morals of the entire ISAF and NATO forces who are sacrificing their lives in order to bring stability and peace to the region and consequently to secure a terror-free future for all. The concepts of freedom and democracy are not confined to the West only. To try and make a connection between democracy and freedom and the actions of these two individuals does not make sense. It is easy to focus on one anecdotal incident and claim that the soldiers who have spent years and sacrificed their lives are not helping a nation, but ask yourself this. Do you honestly believe that the international community has not helped Afghanistan and put her on the road to recovery? 

There are countless numbers of NATO troops, who have fought for years in Afghanistan, to protect Afghan men, women, children and soldiers from militant attacks. They have provided medical aid to countless civilians and Afghan security forces in critical conditions. It is unjust to discredit their sacrifices for the regrettable actions of a few.

Nah no condemnation. People will actually ignore it to ensure they keep their green cards. Frankly all this news so close together does not bode well for NATO. Its a common rumor here that the 4 French guys killed in Kapisa were killed because of the video showing American's urinating on the bodies and not by a Taliban infiltrator. Well 4 day. 17 injured.
