Nato lorries torched in Pakistan

**Lorries carrying fuel for Nato forces in Afghanistan have been set on fire by gunmen in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, police say.**Eight tankers were intercepted by four masked men on motorcycles outside the south-western city of Quetta and set on fire, police added.

There were no casualties as the drivers abandoned the vehicles.

More than 20 lorries carrying Nato supplies were set on fire by suspected militants in the province last week.

Correspondents say that militants frequently target supply trucks for US and Nato troops that travel through Pakistani territory.

Most such attacks usually occur in the border town of Chaman, one of two major crossing points for the trucks.

Militants have also attacked Nato supply lines in the north-west of Pakistan, especially through the famed Khyber Pass.
