In my school there was a big controversy on this subject. In a hadith I so recall, nationalism is haraam. What do u guys think?
I do not know any religion for which nationalism is NOT HARAAAM.
They will argue, what is the virtue in living on either side of an imaginarry man-made border.
Dear NaJuliet: Before I write my opinion about this topic, would you please tell me in more explanation if you are talking about the Racism or Nationalism and when you talk about nationalism, what do you mean by it?

Nationalism means pride in one's country, in other words Patriotism. Having desputes between two countries causes many conflicts and later muslims forget about what Islam teaches us. I read in a hadith that it was, but most people didn't believe me. They said that how Allah made people into certain nationalities. That's what I mean when I talk about nationalism, Msaqibj.
