Definitely wear one! They look sexy, complete the traditional bridal look, come in so many varieties that you can always find one that will suit you, and when else will you get the oppurtunity to wear it? I don't think i've ever seen a bride look OTT from wearing a nath; there's normally something else that has gone wrong.

I say: wear a simple one but nevertheless, DO IT!
You will probably NEVER get the chance to wear one ever again & it really does look very traditional.
It has the wonderful bridal elegance attached to it & it just looks amazing on brides these days because it's not as common anymore.
Anyone can pull it off depending on the naath type so why not? <3

amen to that ... mom says a bride does not look like a bride if she doesnt wear a nath .. and i have seen so many brides these days who discourage wearing one .. they still look gorgeous but the first thing my mom says after looking at them is "she looks incomplete ... esp if she is wearing red" :P ...

i wish i cud pull the nath off .. regardless i will be gettin a piercing ... just that i will be getting ready from my in laws side and naths are not so common amongst them .. jhoomars are ..

if brides dont wear jewelry at all on their mehndis .. i think just one nath to give a muglai look also does it .. though i have never seen a bride do that ..

anyone who thinks naths do not look good on big noses are wrong .. my cousin has a big nose and if the nath did anything to her nose was to make it look more elegant ... first hand experience... and trust me it was a big nose .. she looked beautiful ...

my dad bought me a beautiful diamond set (mashallah) that i'll be wearing with my shadi outfit..however my in laws dont know about this...my mother in law thinks i'll be wearing some gold set with my rani eman bridal..and she has been insisting i wear a nath!! the problem is..how can i wear a nath with my diamond set? it will look odd and weird right?

has any1 seen a bride wearing a nath with a diamond set?i have a nose that can pull it off.i dont want to dissappoint my saas:( i dont feel like wearing one though as i think it will spoil my look..pls help!

well then you can be the first :slight_smile: … its not that bad of a thought .. u can be blending in modern and traditional bridal looks … see wear ur set and in the nath have one diamond drop or something or have a diamond chain which runs from the nath to your hair ..

or just have a diamond nosepin with a chain going back to your hair

or just talk to her :slight_smile:

hey all I don't have my noce pierced and I kinda want to wear a naath, I know there is the clip on thing but I don't like the idea of wearing the screw type one. Is it late to get my nose pierced if the weddings just after Ramadaan

i wore on my mehndi wth simple tika n it rocked n gave different look for mehndi n it actually suited me , on barat i was already having tika n jhoomar so disnt wore it......
but i think if it suits just check before go ahead wth it :)

i dont think it completes the bridal look with out it. i wore it on my baraath because its tradition in my fam but didnt wear it on my valima so i could have pictures with both. i also wore it on my nikah and then had taken it off in the middle of the event and my pictures with it came out way better than after i had taken it off so i wish i had kept it in. my mom had a huge one but for my wedding it was cut down to be made smaller for my face cuz i am also 5ft1 and have a petite face and i liked it on myself but i guess it depends maybe on some it wont suit? but i always find it does on most brides. mine was super simple too so maybe that would be a balance depending on your other jewllery and make up

dont do it... in case your nose gets infected for a while... its takes a lot of time to heal. at least it did for mine. i didnt have any reactions to it until after a couple of months after i had pierced my nose and its just gross!! that would be a HUGE downer if it happened to any bride during her wedding functions. i would stick with the clip on, my cousin wore one on her wedding it looked so gorgeous, she had a clip on little hoop thing, and then the nath was put in that, looked nice.

@ devillish angel it is beautiful i'm sure urll luk great in it. IMO i think it will match the diamond set better than a full gold one :)

@ S & S I did have my nose pierced years ago but let it close :bummer: now im two ways about it.. thinking it may not be so bad this time round as it has been pierced before
