The mehndi/hould event took place at Burbank Airport Marriott Convention Center. Saman, of 2Create Designs, pulled out ALL the stops for her best friend’s event! By only using yellow to accent the bright blue, Saman created a Holud that has a modern, chic look that anything but boring.
The bridal parties entered with close family and friends while the bride was carried in by her uncles in a sterling silver palquin (palki).
They also had a favor bar for the guests complete with bindis, bangles, and other accessories to go!
The menu included street snacks: chatpatti paani puri, fresh kabobs, hot parathas, fresh jilebi, and an array of desserts.

^Not only the colours are fab!, the decor is pretty easy to copy at any mehndi/mayoun/dholki at home. Those flower bowls looks 
. I haven’t seen those little green things floating in there, here is Karachi so I think those are traditional Bengali flowers.

The couple wanted a Bollywood wedding as they met for the first time, while being on the Hindi Film Dance team at UCI. The color story and theme of the wedding décor was red roses. The decorator added robin’s egg blue to the red rose theme to break up the color palette and give it a fresh, unique look. She transformed the venue into an elegant and romantic place where the couple would walk down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time.
Each guest was escorted to their “cinema hall” with their “cinema ticket” for the evening. The tables were candlelit and were named after the couple’s all time favorite Bollywood movie titles and were presented elegantly by Sadia Khawaja at PaperDayDream.

Since the wedding had a traditional red roses theme, the Valima had a modern color palette of green, white, and black with minimal flowers. The focus was put on the graphic table clothes and the flowers just become and accent to the linens and candles. The groom presented an awesome gold necklace to his bride for their Valima.
My sister-in-law attended the wedding she is friends with the grooms family who live in Santa Rosa CA, she loved the decor as well.
