Symonds is fortunate not to be disimissed on his mis-hits falling short. Darren Gough has been surprisingly off-color and has been belted for runs all day. Still quite a long way to go but Australia will post a good score on what looks to be a slightly difficult wicket.

Ground was short from the start, and not much difficult to bat as well. Symonds is never considered as trustable as Ponting,... by Aus.

Thats right. But that doesnt mean he doesnt qualify as a batsman.
Anyways Aussie top order usually have made big scores. So far there has not been big scores by them, they have made contributions but not a single hundred and thats surprising.
