Re: Nasty Grandma
Amana thanks for your kind words...yes my mom dearly misses my dad. But we all do. Her interests havent changed really but they did go out and about all the time together. Window shopping, out to lunch and/or dinner, sightseeing. Now that she lives alone, its a lonely thing to go out just to go out. Mom did have a mean streak even prior to my dad's illness but my dad kept her in check and there was a really big incident that I think had a big effect on her relationship with my middle son. My mom and dad came to take care of the older two boys when I went into the hospital to give birth to number three. My older son was easy to take care of since he was a little older but my mom was overwhelmed caring for middle son who was 14 months old at the time. She was so stressed that she was incredibly nasty to my poor hubby and dad - it was so bad that I told my hubby to come pick me up and take me home (this was 6 or 7 hours after giving birth, hubby had gone home to take over care of younger two and mom was exploding). Anyway when my dad heard that I was going to come home, he took my mom into their room and I think he gave her a real talking-to. Then he called me and told me to stay in hospital, everything is fine. Ever since that time, mom has never shown true affection to middle son.
Icon you may have hit on something there but not sure....My boys all look alike as far as bone structure, you can immediately see that they are brothers and some even think the older 2 are twins. BUT oldest son and youngest son are light hair, blue eyes while middle son has dark hair and gorgeous ebony eyes.

That's it , she thinks he got changed in the hospital with someone else's son. She thinks he is not your real son.
Just kidding , trying to cheer you up.:D
